Joseph Lipovits Memorial Aviation Scholarship
Since I was a child I've always been fascinated by airplanes sparking a passion that has only grown stronger, over time. As I approach adulthood and prepare to attend Kent State University my desire to become a pilot and soar through the skies has never been more intense.
My aviation journey took flight with one plane ride that left a lasting impression on me. The moment the aircraft took off I felt a sense of freedom. Marveled at the stunning views below. This experience ignited a curiosity within me leading me to explore the world of flight with eagerness and dedication diving into subjects like aerodynamics and navigation, with interest.
Ever since I have been dreaming of taking to the skies by myself from flight simulators to getting my PPL. I am so excited to become a pilot and to put in the hard work because I love flying and it is my one true escape.
Nevertheless my path, to becoming a pilot has been filled with obstacles. Acquiring a pilots license involves training demanding dedication, perseverance and a strong commitment to excellence. However it is these challenges that motivate me to move forward urging me to surpass my limits and strive for success.
After graduating from Kent State University my next objective is clear; to join a respected flight school and become a CFI until I acquire my necessary hours. Equipped with the knowledge and skills gained from my education and training I am confident, in my ability to meet the requirements of flight school and succeed in my studies.
After I get my pilot's license, I want to do more than just fly. I want to be a leader in aviation. I dream of working for an airline. I want to make a big difference and help make flying better and more advanced.
Being a pilot means responsibility over anyone and everyone that is on your plane. I am excited for this and have been prepared for this from my childhood. I am so excited to take on this lifestyle and the responsibility of a major airline captain. I just know that one day I will too be in the skies in my own 777.
With becoming a pilot there are also the financial challenges. I have worked hard during summer jobs and saving as much money as I can because of this. Earning this scholarship would mean so much to me. I eagerly await your decision.
