Bio

I am a USMC veteran that has served for 9 years, and has worked on the MV-22 Osprey as an Airframe Mechanic. I have gained many valuable skills & advanced mechanical experience in my time in the military and now it’s time to use it to further my education and skillset in the civilian life to support my wife and 3 year old son! Aside from serving in the military, my passion for EDM has kept me pursuing music production throughout the years.

On February 1997, I was born in Ecuador. I was raised in a small poor town by my mother and direct family, until she married and moved NYC. While I stayed back, she married and eventually was able to request me through the Visa process and fly me to NYC at the age of 4. During my childhood I attended ESL classes and was told that I was a quick learner. Throughout my childhood, my mother divorced and became a single mother who had to raise a kid in the city of New York, which wasn't cheap. She applied for food stamps and at the time, I was bullied for it by classmates, but I endured it because I knew my mother was trying her best. Eventually she married a man in the Navy, and my brother was born. We moved to Hawaii, where it was a complete 180 from NYC. After some time, things didn't work out, and they separated, which meant we were back in NYC. As I attended High School from 2011 to 2015, I did not know what I was going to do with my life after graduating, so I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. From 2015 to May 2025, I was an "Airframe Mechanic" for the MV-22 Osprey, stationed in sunny San Diego, CA. During my enlistment and in the military aviation field, I traveled overseas and within the states, purchased a house, married, made many lifelong friends, lost a few to suicide or unfortunate events, received awards, and became a well-known subject matter expert of the Osprey maintenance community. As a Quality Assurance Representative, I used my training and experience to troubleshoot, manufacture, and be able to determine whether a crew of 3 or more personnel are safe to fly the aircraft and accomplish training or real-life missions. Aside from the work experience I gained, I decided to pursue an associate's degree in the science of music production through the LA Film School. The reason I went after music production was due to my high interested and personal goals in creating music that others can dance to and can be spread to other locations around the world. To pay for my studies, there were significant amounts of loans (totaling to $25,200) that were made by the school in my behalf, which at the time I was not experienced enough in the application process, so I have been literally paying for it ever since graduation in 2022. A few months after graduation, my son Axwell was born, so financially, it became for challenging, but the bright side of things is that I've been a father ever since. With a few deployments after him being born and constantly being away, it made me realize that I wanted to focus on raising him with my wife, outside of the military. I am now a Veteran and acquired a job in relation to my career in the military, but the financial difference from being enlisted, to now, is something that involves some sacrifices to our single income household living standards. As my current income is close to our mortgage, trying to save money has become somewhat of an issue with the ongoing student loans that keep being taken out of bank account in order to not miss any payments. If I were to receive the money from this application, I would be using it pay off some of the current ($20,500) student loan debt, which will of course help in the long term due to its' large amount.
