I wish to be successful in graduating with all degrees leading up to my PhD and owning my own animal hospital/shelter. I am most passionate about making animal life better in the best way I can and understand that a lot of work comes with succeeding at that. I am a great candidate because I have the drive to make sure I reach this goal no matter what happens or has happened in my life.

As a person of Jamaican-Indian descent, supporting underrepresented communities is important because it helps create a fairer and more equal society. These communities are often left out due to factors like race, gender, socioeconomic status, or disability. These things lead them to face challenges such as accessing resources, education, and opportunities. Addressing these issues is important for breaking the cycle of inequality and making sure everyone has a chance to succeed. When we support underrepresented groups, we recognize that diversity makes society stronger. People from different backgrounds can bring new ideas and perspectives just like everyone else, which can lead to more progress in today’s world. However, when these groups are left out of leadership, education, or healthcare, the policies and decisions made often ignore their needs. Without support, these communities will continue to face barriers that hold them back, which limits the potential of both individuals and society as a whole.
I have always felt strongly about standing up for underrepresented groups, and I want to be part of the solution. I understand how important it is to have people who represent diverse experiences in all areas of life, including leadership positions, education, and the workplace. I want to do my part to change the systems that leave people out and help ensure everyone has equal opportunities. To make a difference, I plan to get involved in my community by volunteering with organizations that focus on helping underserved groups. This could mean tutoring students in lower-income areas, helping with job training programs, or participating in local events that aim to provide support. Every small action counts, and I believe that contributing in these ways can create real change.
In addition to volunteering, I want to use my voice to raise awareness about the challenges faced by underrepresented communities. I will continue to advocate for fair policies that promote equal opportunities in the workplace, schools, and beyond. I also want to be part of meaningful conversations about inequality and help others understand how to be allies.
Finally, I believe it’s important to keep learning about the struggles that underrepresented groups face. By understanding their experiences better, I can be a more effective supporter. I want to play an active role in making society more inclusive, and I am committed to helping create a world where everyone has the chance to thrive. Supporting underrepresented communities is not just the right thing to do—it’s essential for creating a fair and just world.
