As someone who has experienced the challenges of having autism. I am extremely and deeply passionate about becoming a special education teacher and I want to advocate for students like myself. I have experienced firsthand the challenges and discrimination that people with disabilities face, and I want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those of children with disabilities like me. Growing up, I faced many challenges and obstacles in being able to access the education I deserved and fully participating in my community. I remember the constant frustration of me being excluded from certain opportunities and having my abilities constantly questioned by those who thought "oh this is to hard for you" and "you can't do all that you have to be realistic" to see my true potential. However, I was also fortunate to the fact that I had my mother to support me and some teachers to. With the support, I had I wasn't going to let me having a disability stop me. This only
pushed me more to work harder and prove to everyone that having a disability doesn't mean you can't succeed in life. In my later years when I was deciding what I wanted to do with my life I knew I wanted to help people like me with disabilities but I didn't know how. One person suggested that I should be a special education teacher. That is when I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I want to make a difference in the lives of the kids like me. Most adults don't understand the lives and experiences these kids may face but I do. I want the students I teach to know that they can do anything
they put there minds to. I want them to advocate for themselves. The experiences i've had have greatly shaped my passion to become a teacher. As an educator, I want to bridge my own personal experiences to advocate for students with disabilities and fight for them against the systemic barriers they may face in society. I would work tirelessly to make my classroom and school
fully accessible, both physically and in terms of curriculum and teaching methods. I would empower my students to be advocates and to speak up for their rights and demand the accommodations they need to thrive academically and socially. By fostering an environment of acceptance and self-advocacy, I believe I can have a lasting impact on the lives of my students. As I look towards the future, I am filled with a profound sense of purpose and determination. I know that the path ahead
will not be easy, but I am more than ready to take on the challenge. With my personal experiences as my guide and my unwavering commitment to advocacy, I am confident that I can be a powerful voice for change and make a meaningful difference in the lives of the students and communities I serve
