Throughout the years I have lived, I've always had a tendency and passion to make a change. Every day I think about how I can become better, work better, and do better, making memories that every day is a day for greatness to arrive. From a person who looks at the world differently, I always see things that can be changed for the better and become better. Striving for potential and progress will always be a challenge but I know that no matter the outcome, at least I can show and say that effort will and has been made because, at the end of every day, we determine what we are going to do and how we are going to do it. Setting my expectations high, I always figure out a way to push myself when times are hard and when the battles are tough. At the age of 11, I started to develop mixed emotions and feelings that were unusual for a child to have at that time of life. The feeling of always being peered and forced started to take a toll on me. I wasn't motivated or pushed to get passed little challenges, the feeling of always seeing other children happy, or the feeling of trying to become happy even though I wasn't. The faking I had started only became worse, I didn't want to be around anyone or even have fun. As I grew I wanted to know why I couldn't get rid of this feeling. Not only was everything feeling forced but everything and everyone seemed to be completely different from me. Later in life, I realized that I was suffering from major things such as anxiety, which I didn't even know someone like me would even be harshly affected by that. After doing some research for a couple of months I became fascinated with the human mind, the behaviors that not only I was feeling but what other people felt but couldn't come out or explain the feelings because they were as lost as I was. Seeing people hurt and feel forced to be left out didn't sit right with me, so I wanted to explore more and more about what causes us to act and behave differently. I grew interested in watching psychological videos and I started to realize how the brain works and deep meaning in the study of humans. After learning and getting deep into the knowledge of psychology, I grew a passion for the career itself. After taking a psychology class, I focused more on that career path and constantly explored the experiences and exercises that are a part of the field of psychology. I knew I wanted to help people but also dig further into describing, exploring, and explaining human behavior and mental processes. I strive to figure out the functions of the world and help people who feel alone, showing them a different direction in life, and challenging our brains to feed off excellence and not societal controls. Our mental health plays a significant role in our lives, sometimes we aren't at the exact level in life that we want to be, so our minds take control and lead us in any open direction. Becoming and working towards being a psychologist, is not about having a fancy title but meeting all expectations to help anyone and everyone become the better "you " and to limit the negative items and reach for the most positive approach. Because at the end of the day, we all matter as well as our well-being!
