Art is integral to our lives. From the architecture surrounding us, to public murals or logos, it’s impossible to not interact with art during our day to day. Funnily (or perhaps not), art is so well embedded in society that it has led some to think that art is actually insignificant or unimportant. Through my studies, I aim to sharpen my skills in the effort to help others foster a deeper appreciation of art and provide representation for other minorities. I view my artmaking through a kaleidoscopic lens. My practice captures the intersection of my identity/experiences with colorful, eclectic imagery, serving as a form of personal introspection and a way to deliver messages larger than myself. Finding your footing in the arts is no picnic; many are forced to give up on their passion in order to survive in these tumultuous times. That’s why I am sincerely seeking your support in my journey navigating post-secondary education and growing as a budding professional. The dream of leaving a lasting impression on even just one person is what keeps me driven, and now all I need is a bit of help to clear the path ahead of me.
