Facing obstacles is difficult. Let's be honest: it's sometimes hurts. However, it is required as we progress to the next level of our existence. As a result, rather than simply enduring or fleeing the storm we must learn to dance in it. Since I was a child, I have had numerous challenges and setbacks.I didn't have every child's dream of visiting Disney World seeing Mickey Mouse when I was younger.I'd always felt like my story was unique compared to those around me. My story did not begin happily like every other good fairy tale story; instead, it began in elementary school when I was bullied because of the color of my skin.Being a darker complexion than the average black person. There wasn't a single day that I didn't hear "wassup blackie?" or when the light turned off "where is Joel?"One day my Algebra teacher turned down the light to watch a Big Hero, and someone yelled out, "Where is Joel?" "I'm here," I said, confused as to why he asked that because I didn't leave the room. Every time we watched a video or a movie with the lights turned off, there was always that one person in each class who had to ask, "Where is Joel?"Looking in the mirror I began to put two and two together and start to see why they kept asking “Where is Joel”.Having me wondering why did God make me so dark, filling myself with negative thoughts. If I were just a little lighter, maybe I could be brave, strong, confident, and happy. If I were to put an end to it all, perhaps this burden would be lifted from my shoulders. There was so much hatred inside me waiting to be released that the only way out was to be violent. I realized that if I went down that road, I would only be giving them what they wanted. It will just show them how weak I am for allowing my emotions to get the best of me. The greatest solution was to keep my head up high and bold so that no one could see my pain. Because those words do not define who I am as a person. There is nothing wrong with being unique. People that criticize you are envious of something you have. Growing up in a Christian home and being constantly told that God created me wonderfully. I couldn't wrap my head around it because if he actually did, I'd wouldn't be in this circumstance. When I am discouraged, I turn to Psalm 139:13-14 to remind myself that I am fearfully and wonderfully formed in God's image. Throughout this journey, I've learned a lot about myself, including how to accept myself, appreciate who I am, and be comfortable in my skin.

The technology industry is constantly evolving and has had a significant impact on society as a whole. From the way we communicate with each other to the way we do business, technology has transformed many aspects of our lives. With this in mind, there are certainly many things that I would like to change or do to further impact the tech industry. One area that I would focus on is increasing diversity and inclusion in the tech industry. The tech industry has long been criticized for its lack of diversity, with many companies struggling to attract and retain a diverse workforce. This is a problem because diverse teams are more innovative and successful. By actively promoting diversity and inclusion in the tech industry, we can help to create a more inclusive and innovative environment that benefits everyone. Another issue that I would address is the problem of digital literacy. While technology has made many aspects of our lives easier and more convenient, it has also created a digital divide between those who are proficient in technology and those who are not. This can be particularly problematic for those who are not as familiar with technology, as they may feel left behind or unable to fully participate in society. To address this issue, I would work to increase access to technology and digital education, particularly in underserved communities. In addition to these issues, I would also like to see a greater focus on sustainability in the tech industry. Technology has the potential to be a major contributor to environmental problems, such as e-waste and carbon emissions. By designing and producing technology more sustainably, we can reduce the negative impact that technology has on the environment and help to create a more sustainable future. Finally, I would like to see more emphasis on privacy and security in the tech industry. As technology becomes increasingly integrated into our lives, we must be able to trust that our data and information are being handled responsibly. By prioritizing privacy and security, we can help to build trust in technology and ensure that it is used responsibly and ethically. In conclusion, there are many changes and actions that I would like to see in the tech industry to make a positive impact. From increasing diversity and inclusion to focusing on sustainability and privacy, there are many ways that we can work to improve the tech industry and create a better future for everyone.

Over the past year, I have experienced significant personal growth in the area of self-esteem and self-acceptance. This journey of self-discovery was inspired by a difficult childhood experience of being bullied. As a child, I was bullied by my peers for being different. I was constantly made fun of for my appearance, my interests, and my personality. I felt isolated and alone, and I developed a deep sense of insecurity and self-doubt. I carried these feelings with me throughout my adolescence and into adulthood, and it affected my relationships and my ability to succeed in my career. The event that sparked my personal growth was a chance encounter with my childhood bully. I had not seen or thought about this person in years, but when I saw them again, all of the old feelings of insecurity and self-doubt came flooding back. However, this time, instead of allowing those feelings to consume me, I decided to use them as motivation to work on myself. One of the biggest changes I have made over the past year is to focus on building my self-esteem and self-acceptance. I have been working on developing a more positive self-image and learning to accept and love myself for who I am. I have also been working on setting and achieving personal goals. This has been a challenging process, but it has also been incredibly rewarding. I have learned to be kinder and more compassionate toward myself, and I have learned to let go of the need for external validation. Another change I have made is to be more assertive in standing up for myself. I have learned to communicate my needs and wants clearly and confidently, and not be afraid of confrontation. Despite the changes I have made, there are also aspects of myself that have remained the same. I still have moments of self-doubt and insecurity, but I have learned to be more resilient and to bounce back more quickly. I have learned that personal growth is not a linear process and that there will always be setbacks and challenges. Through my journey of self-discovery, I have learned that personal growth is a lifelong process. I have learned that it is important to be open and honest with oneself, to be willing to face difficult truths, and to be willing to make positive changes. I have also learned that self-acceptance and self-love are the keys to a happy and fulfilling life. In conclusion, over the past year, I have experienced significant personal growth in the area of self-esteem and self-acceptance. The experience of being bullied as a child was a catalyst for this growth, and it has forced me to confront my insecurities and limitations. I have learned to build a stronger sense of self-worth and self-love, to be more assertive in standing up for myself, and to set and achieve personal goals. I have also learned that personal growth is a lifelong process, and that self-acceptance and self-love are the keys to a happy and fulfilling life.

Being raised by a single mother has had a profound impact on my life. From a young age, I learned the importance of strength, resilience, and determination. My mother raised me and my siblings on her own, and she did so with grace, courage, and unwavering love. She instilled in us the values of hard work, education, and family, and she taught us that with perseverance and dedication, we could achieve anything we set our minds to. One of the most inspiring things about my mother is her unwavering determination to provide for her children. She worked long hours and multiple jobs to ensure that we had everything we needed. Despite the challenges and obstacles she faced, she never gave up, and she always put her children first. Her strength and resilience have been a constant source of inspiration for me throughout my life. My mother also instilled in me a love of learning and education. She always encouraged me to do my best in school and to pursue higher education. Her belief in the power of education to change lives has been a guiding principle for me throughout my life. I am now in college and working hard to achieve my goals and make her proud. Another way my mother has inspired me is her ability to forgive and move on. She has faced many difficult situations in her life, but she has never let them define her. She has always been able to look past the negative and find the positive in every situation. Her ability to forgive and move on has been a valuable lesson for me and has helped me to become a more compassionate and understanding person. Lastly, the way my mother always put her family first and the love she has for us is something that truly inspires me. She always makes sure we have what we need and she always puts her family first. Even when things were tough, she never wavered in her commitment to us, and her love for her children is unwavering. This has taught me the importance of family and the power of love. In conclusion, being raised by a single mother has been both a challenging and rewarding experience. My mother's strength, determination, and unwavering love have been an inspiration to me throughout my life. Her ability to provide for her children, her belief in the power of education, her ability to forgive and move on, and her love for her family have taught me valuable lessons and have shaped me into the person I am today. I am forever grateful for her love and guidance, and I will always strive to make her proud.

Perseverance is the ability to keep going despite setbacks, obstacles, and challenges. It is the quality of being determined and persistent in the face of adversity. To me, perseverance means never giving up, even when things get tough. It means pushing through the difficult times and continuing to work towards your goals, no matter how hard it may seem. One experience that demonstrates my perseverance is when I was in high school and I decided to run for student council. I had never been particularly involved in school activities before, but I felt like I had something to contribute and wanted to make a difference. I knew that running for student council would be a challenging endeavor, as I would have to campaign for votes and make my case to my classmates. Despite my lack of experience and the many obstacles I faced, I was determined to see it through. I worked hard to create a campaign platform that resonated with my peers, and I spent hours talking to students and trying to persuade them to vote for me. The campaign was a tough and grueling process, but I persevered and eventually won a seat on the student council. Looking back on that experience, I am proud of the perseverance I demonstrated. I could have easily given up or let my doubts and fears hold me back, but I chose to push through and pursue my goals. This experience taught me that with hard work and determination, I can overcome any obstacle and achieve my goals. Perseverance is not always easy, and it requires a lot of effort and dedication. It means facing your fears and doubts head-on, and not letting them hold you back. It means continuing to work hard, even when you feel like giving up. It means never losing sight of your dreams and always striving to be your best. To me, perseverance is a crucial quality that everyone should strive to cultivate. It is what helps us to overcome the challenges and setbacks that life inevitably throws our way, and it is what enables us to achieve our goals and reach our full potential. Without perseverance, it is all too easy to get discouraged and give up, and I believe that it is this quality that ultimately separates those who succeed from those who do not. So, I always try to cultivate this quality in myself and encourage others to do the same.

Being an "up-stander" means standing up for what is right, even when it is difficult or unpopular. It means being willing to speak out against injustice, discrimination, and other forms of oppression, and to take action to create positive change. I believe that I am an upstander in my community in several ways. First and foremost, I try to model inclusive and respectful behavior towards others, regardless of their race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or other differences. I believe that every person has the right to be treated with dignity and respect, and I try to foster an environment of acceptance and understanding in my own circles of influence. I also try to use my voice to speak out against injustice and discrimination when I see it happening. This can be as simple as calling out a casual remark that is biased or offensive, or as significant as participating in a protest or advocacy campaign. I believe that it is important to be an ally and to stand in solidarity with those who are marginalized or oppressed. In terms of my plans for the future, I hope to continue using my voice and my actions to make a positive impact in my community. I am particularly interested in advocating for social justice issues such as racial and gender equality, LGBTQ+ rights, and immigrant rights. I also hope to get involved in local organizations and initiatives that are working towards these goals. One specific way that I plan to use my voice is by getting involved in community organizing and activism. This could include participating in protests, volunteering with grassroots organizations, or even running for office in the future. I believe that it is important for all of us to do our part to create a more just and equitable society, and I want to use my voice and my actions to help build a better world for myself and future generations. Ultimately, I believe that being an upstander is about more than just speaking out against injustice; it is also about taking action and working toward positive change. By using my voice and my actions to make a difference in my community, I hope to inspire others to do the same and to create a ripple effect of positive impact. In addition to advocating for social justice issues, I also plan to use my voice to support and uplift my community. This can involve volunteering my time and resources to help those in need, such as by participating in community service projects or supporting local charities. It can also involve working to build a sense of community and belonging within my own neighborhood or city, through activities such as organizing events or starting a neighborhood group. I believe that by working together and supporting one another, we can create a stronger and more connected community for all.

One of the most challenging experiences I have faced in my life was during my junior year of high school. I had always been a strong student, consistently earning top grades in all of my classes. However, that year, I faced a series of setbacks that tested my resilience and determination. First, my grandfather, who had been a constant source of support and encouragement, passed away suddenly. I was devastated by his loss and struggled to cope with my grief while also trying to focus on my studies. Around the same time, I was also struggling to balance the demands of school with my extracurricular activities and a part-time job. I found myself feeling overwhelmed and burnt out, and my grades began to suffer as a result. At first, I was discouraged and felt like giving up. I considered dropping some of my commitments to focus on my studies, but I knew that this was not the solution. Instead, I decided to "turn it up to 11" and go above and beyond in overcoming this challenge. I started by seeking support from my teachers and counselors, who helped me to develop a plan for success. I also sought the help of a tutor and began attending after-school study sessions to stay on track. I made a conscious effort to prioritize my time and manage my workload more effectively. Despite these efforts, I still struggled to catch up and ended the year with a less-than-satisfactory GPA. However, I refused to let this setback define me and instead saw it as an opportunity to learn and grow. I learned that resilience and determination are key to overcoming challenges. I also learned the importance of seeking support and asking for help when needed. Most importantly, I learned that setbacks and failures are a normal part of life, and it is how we choose to respond to them that ultimately determines our success. Looking back, I am grateful for the lessons I learned during that difficult time. They have helped me to persevere through other challenges and setbacks that have come my way and have taught me to approach life with resilience, determination, and a growth mindset. These lessons have been fundamental to my later success and have shaped the person I am today. As I continued to work hard and strive for improvement, I eventually saw my grades begin to improve. I redoubled my efforts and committed myself to doing whatever it took to succeed. I learned the value of hard work and persistence, and I never gave up on my goals. These lessons have stayed with me and have helped me to achieve academic and personal success in the years since. Overall, facing this challenge and overcoming it has been a defining moment in my life and has helped to shape the person I am today.

The loss of a close family member or loved one can be a devastating and life-altering experience. It can be a time of deep grief, heartache, and uncertainty about the future. However, it can also be a time of reflection and growth, as we are forced to confront our mortality and the impermanence of life. For me, the loss of my great-grandmother was a turning point in my life. She had always been a constant presence in my life, a source of love, support, and wisdom. Her passing was a reminder of how fragile and fleeting life can be, and it made me reevaluate what was truly important to me. In the aftermath of her death, I found myself questioning the choices I had made and the path I was on. I realized that I had been so focused on achieving certain goals and milestones that I had lost sight of what mattered. I had been so caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life that I had neglected the things that truly brought me joy and fulfillment. In the wake of my great-grandmother's passing, I made a conscious decision to focus on what mattered most to me. I began to prioritize my relationships with loved ones, and I made an effort to be present at the moment and appreciate the simple pleasures in life. I also started to consider my values and what I wanted to "fight" for in this world. I began to focus on my passions and my purpose, and I committed to pursuing them with all of my heart. I wanted to make a difference in the world and leave a positive impact on those around me. I wanted to be true to myself and live a life that was authentic and meaningful. In many ways, the loss of my grandmother was a wake-up call, a reminder of the preciousness of life and the importance of living with purpose and intention. It has taught me to cherish every moment, to appreciate the people and things that matter most, and to "fight" for what I believe in. It has also inspired me to be a source of love and support for others, to be there for those who are grieving, and to help make their burdens a little lighter. Overall, the loss of a close family member or loved one can be a difficult and painful experience, but it can also be an opportunity for growth and personal transformation. It can remind us of what is truly important in life and inspire us to live with purpose and meaning.

Growing up in a single parent household or a low-income family can be a significant challenge, but it can also be a source of strength and resilience. These experiences can teach valuable lessons about hard work, determination, and resourcefulness, and they can motivate individuals to strive for a better future, not just for themselves, but for their family and community. I am a testament to the strength and resilience that can come from overcoming challenges. Growing up in a single parent household, I often had to take on extra responsibilities to help my family make ends meet. This meant working part-time jobs while also maintaining good grades in school. It wasn't always easy, but I learned the value of hard work and the importance of setting and achieving goals. In addition to the financial challenges, growing up in a single parent household also meant that I didn't always have the support and guidance that I needed. However, I learned to be independent and self-motivated, and I developed a strong sense of responsibility and determination. These qualities have helped me to persevere through difficult times and to achieve success both in school and in my personal life. But my experiences have not just shaped me as an individual; they have also inspired me to make a positive impact in my community. I have always been passionate about giving back and helping others, and I believe that my life experiences have given me a unique perspective and understanding of the challenges that many people face. One way that I have used my experiences to make a positive impact in my community is by volunteering with organizations that support disadvantaged individuals and families. I have worked with organizations that provide resources and support for single parents, low-income families, and homeless individuals, and I have seen firsthand the positive impact that these organizations can have. In the future, I hope to continue making a positive impact in my community through my career. I am currently studying social work, and I hope to use my education and experiences to help others overcome challenges and achieve their goals. I believe that my unique background and perspective will allow me to connect with and understand the needs of my clients in a way that others may not be able to. In conclusion, coming from a single parent or low-income household has been a challenging but ultimately rewarding experience. It has taught me valuable lessons about hard work, determination, and resilience, and it has inspired me to use my life experiences to make a positive impact in my community. I am confident that my unique background and perspective will allow me to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

It is deeply disturbing and tragic when any kind of shooting occurs, especially in a place such as an elementary school where children should feel safe and protected. The shooting that took place in Uvalde, Texas likely had a profound and lasting impact on the lives of many people, including the victims, their families, and the wider community. Such a traumatic event can lead to physical injuries, psychological trauma, and long-term emotional damage for those directly involved, as well as grief and fear for the community at large. It is important to provide support and resources to those affected by this tragedy, and to work towards finding solutions to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. One issue that has greatly affected my community and country is gun violence. In the United States, there have been far too many instances of mass shootings and everyday gun violence, leaving families and communities devastated and traumatized. As a member of my community and a citizen of this country, I believe it is important to take action and work towards creating a positive change in the way we address gun violence. There are many factors that contribute to gun violence, including easy access to firearms, a lack of proper background checks, and inadequate mental health resources. In order to address this issue, it is necessary to implement comprehensive and effective gun control measures. This includes stricter background checks and requirements for gun ownership, as well as limits on the types of firearms that can be purchased. In addition to gun control measures, it is important to address the root causes of gun violence, such as mental illness and a culture of violence. This can be done through the provision of better mental health resources and education programs that promote non-violent conflict resolution. One way to work towards creating positive change on this issue is to get involved in advocacy and activism. This can include participating in protests and demonstrations, writing letters to legislators and government officials, and supporting organizations that work towards gun reform. It is also important to educate others about the issue and the steps that can be taken to address it. Another way to create positive change is to get involved in community-level efforts to address gun violence. This can include volunteering with organizations that provide support to families affected by gun violence, participating in neighborhood watch programs, and supporting local initiatives to promote non-violent conflict resolution. In order to truly make a difference on this issue, it is necessary for individuals and communities to work together and advocate for change at all levels. This includes supporting politicians and policies that prioritize gun reform and working towards a cultural shift towards non-violence. While addressing gun violence is a complex and challenging issue, I believe that by working towards comprehensive and effective solutions, we can create a safer and more peaceful society for all.

One option is to join a group or club focused on financial literacy. These groups often have meetings or events where members can learn from experts or engage in discussions about financial topics. Another option is to take advantage of free resources offered by financial institutions or government agencies. Many banks and credit unions offer financial education programs or workshops, and government agencies often have information available on their websites about personal finance topics. It can also be helpful to surround yourself with financially literate individuals who can offer guidance and support. As an African American student, one of the biggest obstacles I have had to overcome in pursuit of higher education was financial insecurity. My family was unable to provide much financial support for my college education, and I knew that I would have to rely on scholarships, grants, and loans to make it through. At first, this was a daunting prospect. I was overwhelmed by the sheer number of applications and requirements, and I wasn't sure if I would be able to find enough funding to cover my expenses. But I didn't let that discourage me. I spent hours researching and applying for every scholarship and grant I could find, determined to make my dream of higher education a reality. The process wasn't easy, and there were times when I felt like giving up. But I had a strong support system of friends and family who helped me through it. They encouraged me to keep going, even when the road seemed difficult, and they provided emotional support when I needed it most. One person who was especially instrumental in helping me overcome this obstacle was my high school guidance counselor. She was always there to answer my questions and offer advice on how to navigate the financial aid process. She also connected me with resources and opportunities that I may not have otherwise known about, and she helped me to see that I had more options than I realized. In the end, my hard work paid off. I was able to secure enough funding to cover the cost of my education, and I was able to graduate with a degree in my field of study. Looking back, I am grateful for the obstacle that financial insecurity presented, as it taught me the value of hard work and perseverance, and it helped me to develop the resilience and determination that have served me well in my career.Overcoming financial insecurity was not an easy task, but it was worth it. It has opened up so many doors for me, and it has given me the opportunity to pursue my passions and dreams. I am grateful to all of the people who helped me along the way, and I hope that my story can inspire others who may be facing similar challenges. In addition, I am grateful for the help and support of my community. I received encouragement and guidance from my peers, teachers, and mentors who helped me to see that I was capable of achieving my goals despite the challenges I faced. I also received help from organizations and programs that were dedicated to supporting African American students in higher education. These resources provided me with the support and guidance that I needed to overcome financial insecurity and succeed in my studies. Ultimately, it was the combination of hard work, perseverance, and the support of my community that helped me to overcome this obstacle and achieve my dreams.

Throughout my life, I have faced many hardships that have tested my strength and resilience. While these challenges have not always been easy to overcome, I have learned that with determination and hard work, it is possible to move forward and come out stronger on the other side. One of the hardest things I have ever had to face was the loss of a loved one. When I was just a teenager, my father passed away unexpectedly, and it was a devastating blow that left me feeling lost and alone. In the aftermath of his death, I struggled with grief and depression, and it was difficult to find the motivation to keep going. Despite these challenges, I knew that I had to find a way to move forward and honor my father's memory. To do this, I threw myself into my studies and worked hard to excel in school. I also found solace in writing, which became a therapeutic outlet for me to express my emotions and work through my grief. With time, I began to heal and was able to find joy and purpose in my life again. Learning to face hard things has not only impacted me personally, but it has also had a profound effect on my relationships. Through my experiences, I have learned the value of resilience and the importance of being able to support others in times of crisis. I have also learned the power of vulnerability and how important it is to be able to share your struggles and emotions with others. In my relationships, I have tried to be there for others in their time of need, offering a listening ear and a shoulder to lean on. I have also learned to be more open and honest about my own struggles, which has helped me to build deeper and more meaningful connections with the people I care about. Overall, facing hardships has been a challenging but ultimately rewarding experience. It has helped me to grow and learn, and it has had a positive impact on my relationships. I am grateful for the lessons I have learned and will continue to use them to navigate the challenges that come my way in the future. One of the things that has helped me to move forward and overcome hardships is the support of my loved ones. I have been fortunate to have friends and family who have stood by me through the tough times, offering encouragement and comfort when I needed it most. Their love and support has been a constant source of strength for me and has helped me to keep going even when things seemed impossible. Without the support of these special people in my life, I don't know if I would have been able to overcome the challenges I have faced. I am deeply grateful for their presence in my life and will always be there for them in their time of need.

Growing up in a single parent household has undoubtedly shaped my educational journey in many ways. As the child of a single mother, I learned from a young age the value of hard work, determination, and resilience. My mother always stressed the importance of education and encouraged me to do my best in school, even when times were tough. One of the biggest challenges I faced as a child of a single parent was financial instability. My mother worked hard to provide for our family, but there were many times when we struggled to make ends meet. This often meant that I had to take on part-time jobs in addition to my studies, which could be exhausting at times. Despite this, I never let my financial circumstances hold me back. I was determined to succeed academically and was willing to put in the extra effort to make it happen. In addition to financial challenges, being a part of a single parent household also meant that I had to learn how to be independent and self-sufficient at a young age. My mother was not always able to be there for me in the way that she wanted to be, so I had to learn how to take care of myself and manage my own responsibilities. This included things like making my own meals, doing my own laundry, and handling my own finances. While it was sometimes overwhelming, these experiences ultimately taught me valuable life skills that have helped me to become a more responsible and self-sufficient adult. Looking back on my educational journey, I am grateful for the challenges and obstacles that I faced as a child of a single parent. They have made me stronger, more resilient, and more determined to succeed. In the future, I plan on giving back to my community in a number of ways. For example, I hope to use my education and skills to help others who may be facing similar challenges. I also hope to be a positive role model for young people and to inspire them to pursue their education and their dreams. Overall, coming from a single parent household has been a unique and sometimes difficult journey, but it has also been incredibly rewarding. It has taught me valuable lessons and shaped me into the person I am today. I am grateful for the support and encouragement of my mother and am committed to paying it forward in the future.
Future Leaders in Technology Scholarship - College Award
I am deeply interested in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential to revolutionize the way we live and work. As someone who has always been fascinated by the power of technology to solve complex problems, I see AI as a particularly exciting and promising area of study. One specific problem that I hope to solve through my education and career in tech is the issue of access to quality healthcare in underserved communities. In many parts of the world, there are significant barriers to healthcare, including lack of access to medical facilities, trained professionals, and affordable treatments. By developing AI-powered solutions that can provide remote healthcare services, we can help overcome these barriers and make healthcare more accessible to everyone, regardless of their location or socio-economic status. In addition to healthcare, I am also interested in using AI to improve education. As someone who has always been passionate about learning, I believe that education has the power to transform lives and communities. However, I also recognize that there are many challenges to providing quality education, particularly in underprivileged areas. By developing AI-powered educational platforms that can personalize the learning experience for each student, we can help ensure that every student is able to learn at their own pace and receive the support and guidance they need to succeed. I am also interested in using AI to improve transportation. With the rapid advancement of autonomous vehicle technology, I believe that AI has the potential to revolutionize the way we move from place to place. By developing self-driving cars and other forms of autonomous transportation, we can improve safety, reduce traffic congestion, and lower the cost of transportation. Finally, I am also interested in using AI to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of businesses and organizations. By analyzing data on employee productivity, customer satisfaction, and other key metrics, we can use machine learning algorithms to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to optimize performance. Additionally, AI can be used to automate and streamline business processes, freeing up human employees to focus on more creative and strategic tasks. Overall, I am excited to study AI and computer science because of the vast potential it has to make a positive impact on the world. I am confident that through my education and career in tech, I will be able to contribute to the development of innovative solutions that can help solve some of the most pressing problems facing our society today.
Science Fiction Becomes Science Fact Scholarship
The phenomenon described in the quote is one that is all too common in online gaming forums, as the anonymity and distance provided by the internet can lead people to behave in ways that they would not normally in real life. This can range from trolling and flame wars to general incivility and disrespect towards others. While it is true that not all individuals who engage in uncivil behavior online will necessarily carry this behavior over into their real lives, it is important to recognize the potential for this negative influence. The lack of social consequences for our actions online can make it easier for us to justify behaving in ways that we would not normally consider acceptable. As someone who has spent a significant amount of time participating in online gaming forums, I have seen firsthand the effect that this lack of social norms can have. I have witnessed individuals who were once kind and respectful in their online interactions turn into trolls or engage in flame wars. I have also seen individuals who were shy or introverted in real life become more assertive and confident online, only to struggle to translate that confidence into their offline interactions. The impact of this phenomenon on real-life social interaction is significant, as it can lead to a breakdown of the norms of civil discourse that are necessary for healthy and productive communication. Without these norms, it becomes more difficult for people to engage in meaningful and respectful dialogue, which can lead to misunderstandings, conflicts, and even hostility. The good news is that there are steps that we can take to mitigate the negative effects of this phenomenon. One way to do this is by setting clear expectations for behavior in online gaming forums, and enforcing those expectations through moderation and other means. This can help to create a more positive and respectful online environment, which in turn can encourage people to be more mindful of their behavior and the impact it has on others. Another way to address this issue is by taking a more proactive approach to our own online behavior. This means being mindful of the words and actions that we choose, and making a conscious effort to be respectful and considerate towards others. By taking this approach, we can model the kind of behavior that we want to see in others, and help to create a more positive and constructive online community. In conclusion, the phenomenon of people within online gaming forums discarding common accepted social norms of civil discourse and actions is a real and significant issue. While it is not possible to eliminate this behavior entirely, we can work to mitigate its negative effects by setting clear expectations for behavior and being mindful of our own actions. By doing so, we can create a more positive and respectful online environment that can have a positive impact on real-life social interaction.

Everyone wants to be successful, everyone wants manifestation, everyone wants to go to the next level; the question is whether we have what it takes to go there. I believe that in order to be successful, you must be at the  rock bottom of your life to find who you are as a person. Success for me means proving those who doubted you wrong. When I was in elementary school, I was at rock bottom because I was bullied because of the color of my skin.Being a darker complexion than the average black person. Throughout my life, I have doubted and counted out having shouted of greatness based on color of my skin. Has prepared me to discovery who I am find my purpose in life. Twenty year from now I see myself at happiest stage of my life travel across the would discovering new places. Being able look back knowing that I prove them all wrong.I also see myself being motivator and mentor to kids who are in situation getting bullied and having insecurities. Overall I want to make impact on world know that I made an change.

Leadership in the eyes of many stands for the act of leading a group of people or an organization. When we hear the word leader, we think of someone who gives directions and ensures that everything is in order. I believe that being a leader entails more than giving instructions but letting your actions speak louder than your words. I have realized that leadership is a gift and only a few have the privilege of having it. Not everyone is equipped to be a leader who makes sacrifices for the good of his people. You cannot be a leader if you are not resilient and determined to fight the battle to the finish. Leadership is a responsibility rather than an opportunity, as Uncle Ben once said, "with great power comes great responsibility." Has a clear meaning: if you have the potential to accomplish something, make sure you do it for the benefit of others. As a leader, you have so much power among the people around you watching your every movement. As a teenager I was tasked with a great responsibility in the upbringing of my younger siblings also playing a significant role in the family business. I had to multitask to complete my scheduled task for the day, I learned the skill of time management. My life became a model for my younger siblings. My parents also taught me how to communicate, which has become one of my most valuable abilities in life. To maintain my integrity, when I say something, I must stick to it no matter what. I did not end at home as I carried these values learned from my home translated to school. I performed very well in my academics and exhibited exceptional leadership skills. I was most at times elected as a group leader to lead my team in various group activities. I have participated in several community programs aimed at promoting community development and patriotism. To me, leadership is a way of giving back to society. Becoming a leader is important to me because I believe I have a deposited material within me that I must share with the rest of the world. It is possible to carry out tiny actions that have a big impact in the world. Leaders who leave an imprint on the world will be remembered as legends.

The year 2020, when the world was in chaos of the Covid-19. Who in a million years would have thought that we would be forced to stay in our homes. Quarantine has affected many people's mental health, isolated from their loved ones. Wondering when everything will return to normality, give Bob across the street a hug. People fighting over who would get the last paper towel, is this what our ancestors fought for? The pandemic has affected me in many ways losing a loved one. Most importantly had a huge impact on my mindset. Learning about personal development, manifestation, and figuring out myself. Listen to motivational speakers Tony Robbins, Gary Vee, and Eric Thomas. Read the books Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. He made the 13 principles he gathered from research from more than 500 wealthiest people in the early 19 century. Having a burning desire is one of the principles of knowing your Why, why it's important. Willing to take the actions to achieve your goals no matter the risks. During tough times, create strong people. I became a better version of myself getting a better understanding of the life I desired.
