I am a first-generation student at University of California, San Diego majoring in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience. I have always been enthralled by the intricacies of the brain, inquiring it’s functionality and how susceptible they are to neuropsychiatric diseases. I would want to help and advocate the people who has these diseases, and for them not to be feared by the community. As a first-generation student who experienced adversities in the Philippines, I’ve valued my dedication on pursuing a higher education for both myself and my family.
