Bio

I am a high school senior looking to study Sports Management and Data Analytics. My professional goal is to become an executive within a sports organization. As a Christian, my faith is the most important thing in my life. While that is not popular these days, I am not ashamed to be bold about it. My faith has gotten me through several trials, and it has allowed me to grow in ways I had previously thought impossible. I am heavily involved in my church's youth ministry as well as my school's FCA as a part of the tech team and a breakout group leader for both. I enjoy pouring into the younger classes along with my peers and watching them grow in their faith. While I may not be the most talented at every single thing I try to do, I will be the hardest working in everything I do. This way of living was instilled in me at an early age and has presented itself in many ways throughout my life, especially in sports and school. My mix of high-level academics and athletics puts that on full display. Since sophomore year, I have been on my varsity basketball team and have been playing with a high-level club during the spring/summer. I will have taken 6 AP courses by the end of this year and have am in the top 20% of my class. I am also a member of my school’s NEHS, Beta Club, and Key Club. My goal in life is to make the biggest impact I can. I hope to leave a legacy that impacts many. Whether that is in the workforce, the mission field, or the basketball court, I am ready to take whatever avenue is needed for me to make that a reality.

    Bold Great Minds Scholarship
As a Christian, the obvious answer is Jesus Christ. It's safe to say that Jesus has had the most impact on the world throughout history. The way He lived his life on Earth led to many life changes while He was here, as well as in the over 2,000 years since. While I know I won't be able to reach as many people as He has, I still hope to have a lasting impact on as many people as I can based on how I live and how I make them feel. Jesus loved His neighbor, just as we are called to. Not only did He say that he loved someone, He showed it through His actions. That is how He makes an impact. A lot of people have a lot to say, but I have always been taught that actions speak louder than words. Jesus is the epitome of that, and I look to Him as an example of how I should try to live my life. Of course, I could never reach that level of perfection. Nobody could. I can only hope to show His love the right way and be a shining light in this world. Whether that is through service, the workforce, or some other path, I want to live a life that leaves a lasting legacy and continues to impact people long after I am gone.
    Bold Mentor Scholarship
I am a role model and a mentor in multiple areas of my life. I have been playing for my high school's varsity basketball team since my sophomore year. Because of this, I have a lot of experience and knowledge that I can pass on to the younger players that I play with as well as the kids in our zone that hope to be in my position one day. I hope to instill confidence in my teammates and show them that they can compete at the highest level if they put their heart into it through the way I play. I want to show them how important it is to have this mindset in the classroom, as well. My grades, class rigor, and my SAT/ACT scores show that I put in time and effort in class, as well. I also hope to be a role model just based on how I live my life. I tend to put in the extra effort and help out wherever I can. If someone needs help, even if it is not convenient for me, I help. I know what it is like to be in that position and actually get the help I needed, so I want to be that for others. I remember how it felt, and I want to give that to other people. I hope that by being that person to others, they will continue to spread this way of thinking, as well. It's the little things that truly matter in life. I hope that I can master the little things and show people how much of a difference you can make by going the extra mile.
Darryl Davis "Follow Your Heart" Scholarship
As seen in my profile, my goal is to make an impact in whatever way I feel I am able. Currently, I am a breakout leader and part of the tech team with my youth group and my school's FCA. I am blessed to have been able to facilitate some really solid conversations with my peers and the younger classes. While I am not a singer, I do have an interest in music production and am starting how to play the guitar from a friend of mine. She is our worship leader for my youth group and FCA. As of right now, I hope to attend Samford University and study Sports Management and Data Analytics. My goal with that is to become an executive in a professional sports organization. I hope to be a shining light for God in the sports world, and this seems like a great way to be able to do that. Without getting too far into my testimony, I was saved a little over two years ago. I had a stretch of about a year where I had multiple injuries that kept me out of basketball and a couple of things with friends that I allowed to drive me away from a lot of people. At that point, I was broken and knew I needed a change, so I finally turned to Jesus and began to live out my faith. While it may sound generic, my main goal is to impact as many people as possible for the Kingdom. Everything else that may come along with that is extra. Something that excites me about this world is the great number of opportunities we have. We can be whatever we want to be if we truly put our minds to it. With that being said, I believe we all have a calling and must be passionate about something to pursue it. I hope that I can use these opportunities in the most effective way possible for me to make the biggest impact possible. Even if it is just a seed planted, I hope to touch the life of every person I interact with and show them the love of Christ. There are a few ways I hope to give back to my community. I would like to be a youth basketball coach at some point. I hope to be able to impact my players as my coaches have impacted me. I want to help create relationships that will last a lifetime. I would also like to hold free camps for youth athletes so everybody is able to attend and grow as an athlete and as a person. As I look into my future, I hope to have an important and impactful role within my church as well as my job so that I can support my family. Being able to positively impact my family is something I would like to do, as anyone would. I hope to be a mentor to many and leave a lasting legacy that will continue to impact people after I am gone.
    Bold Dream Big Scholarship
Like many, my dream life consists of luxury and relaxation. Seeing as that may not be as attainable as we all hope, I have a little backup dream life. Since I was very young, I have wanted to play a sport in college. As I began to navigate my future and what that might look like, I began to look at how my experience in sports could help with that. Naturally, my first choice was being an athlete. As a basketball player, the NBA seemed like the best choice. As I began to explore it more, I realized I would have to be away from my family for extended periods of time, so I had to scratch that. One day, I was talking to an old baseball coach who works in the front office of a professional baseball team. He told me a lot about his experience and how he got a lot of perks that come with working in the MLB. That is what sparked my interest in that field, and that has been my goal since. Along with that, I want to coach a club or school basketball team. I want to make an impact on the younger generation in a positive way, similar to how many of my coaches have impacted me. Since my faith is a huge part of my life, I also hope to have a role in the church that can impact many in a positive way. I also hope to be the best parent and mentor I can be. While all of this may not seem like the normal "dream life" to many, this is how I feel I will be the most fulfilled in my life, regardless of what others may think.
