I am currently pursuing a degree in Political Science at California State University, Fresno. I plan to pursue a Masters in Sustainability after graduating in May 2023. My passion has always been to be of help to the community around me. Through my experiences with civic engagement and community outreach as a political intern, I have come to realize that majority of the communities are suffering from major environmental issues such as pesticide exposure from nearby farmland and low water accessibility, which are affecting the quality of lives of many residents. As I have conversed with so many members of communities throughout Kings, Fresno, Tulare and Kern county in the Central Valley, I figured that my passion lies at creating a more sustainable way of farming for the local farmers by acts of conservation of sacred resources. With a degree in Political Science, I will also utilize it to engage in civic engagement and community outreach, to extensively record feedback on more pressing issues that could use further research and improvements. It could also be used to record feedback on the ongoing efforts of transitioning into sustainable development of agriculture. To dream of a better world is to secure a healthy life for the people.
