Hello! I know my name can be hard to pronounce so I go by Jet. I would just like to take the time and say that I am grateful for anything, thanks to God I get the chance to do many great things. One of my main goals in life is to become what I want to be and succeed, and be known in life as someone who helped out others. I would like to be the reason as to why people think twice before saying or doing something.

Iliana Arie Scholarship
I am a middle child and a first-generation college student. Which has caused my family to depend on me most of the time, specifically my siblings when it comes to academic work and among other chores at home. Coming from a home of a single mother this happens often as our mother was always out and in need to do stuff, while still coming home tired and having to clean and cook meals for us. It was exhausting on her ending so as the oldest I had to step up and help with what I could for my siblings to have the best care they could have, and taking off stress workloads on my mother. It is something I do not ask for and wished for, but it helps my mother in any form of way. Even though I have helped, and my mother no longer felt all the pressure on her it impacted my own health in many ways in a positive and negative way. I have learned to pay bills in a way that will improve my credit score later on in life, I have also learned to cook meals for my family that I can use later on in life as a skill for my own family someday. I have even done if not all but most of the house chores that were required. However, the downside of doing all of this is that I became physically drained and heading to bed late and tired and still had homework or exams to do and study for. I was also emotionally drained and had many negative emotions shown within time and my appearance became a tired one. Mentally I had started to gain mental illnesses that included anxiety. I was just always tired and drained in ever possible way that I couldn't handle it anymore in any form. Which is why with the way I grew up I see it as a blessing and a lesson to be taught. I myself will make sure I can provide my children the best as my own mother did, however no matter how tired I dont think I can put pressure into my children to be helping out even at a young age like I started. I will also be sure to use the resources I've learned out in the world so that I can find ways to make money last, and have savings so I will not struggle.
