Really why I’m pursuing a career in the automotive industry is simply because I never had enough money to fix my own car. I was dating someone a while back who was mechanically inclined who refused to help me resulting in me walking in the rain to catch the bus to work because he wouldn’t give me ride either. I swore from that point I would never be in that situation again and started educating myself. I have been self taught for the last 8 years and am now in school to get ASE certified. As a woman I envision my role to hopefully create an image of a competent and confident female technician who is skilled in a number of areas of this industry, helping to pave a way in a rather taboo area for other females interested in the automotive industry. Females in the automotive industry play a crucial role in driving innovation and progress. Additionally, promoting diversity and inclusion within automotive companies leads to a more creative and dynamic work environment, ultimately fueling innovation. I strive to prioritize exceptional customer service to exceed expectations and contribute to the industry's reputation. I share my knowledge and hope to inspire others to explore the automotive industry. Without the help of generosity of those like you, none of this would be possible for someone like me. A lot of others including myself do not have the ability to pay for the education and courses needed. For that I thank you.

Really what inspired me to pursue a career in the automotive industry was simply because I never had enough money to fix my own car when it broke down. I was dating someone a while back who was mechanically inclined who refused to help me resulting in me walking in the rain to catch the bus to work because he wouldn’t give me ride either. I swore from that point I would never be in that situation again and sought out educating myself. I have been self taught for the last 8 years and am now in school to get ASE certified. As a woman I envision my role to hopefully create an image of a competent and confident female automotive technician who is skilled in a number of areas of this industry, helping to pave a way in a rather taboo area for other females interested in the automotive industry. Females in the automotive industry play a crucial role in driving innovation and progress. Historically, the industry has been male-dominated, but we are seeing positive changes with more women entering the field and making significant contributions. Women bring diverse perspectives, unique talents, and fresh ideas to the table, fostering innovation in areas such as vehicle design, engineering, technology, sustainability, and customer experience. Efforts are being made to encourage and support women's participation in the automotive industry. Initiatives like mentorship programs, networking opportunities, and organizations focused on empowering women in this field are helping to bridge the gender gap. Additionally, promoting diversity and inclusion within automotive companies leads to a more creative and dynamic work environment, ultimately fueling innovation. As a technician looking to advance, I think it’s extremely important to not only stay updated on advancements in automotive technology, repair techniques, and industry trends, but to also continue to invest in my professional development through certifications, training programs, and courses. Which are getting extremely difficult to fund. I will embrace new technologies that enhance repair processes and improve efficiency. I collaborate and network with other professionals in the industry to exchange ideas and approaches. I strive to prioritize exceptional customer service to exceed expectations and contribute to the industry's reputation. I also share my knowledge and insights through writing, forums, or in person to inspire others and foster industry growth. By following these steps, I can actively contribute to innovation and progress in the automotive repair industry. Without the help of generosity of those like you, none of this would be possible for someone like me. A lot of others including myself do not have the ability to pay for the education and courses needed to pursue this dream of mine. For that I thank you.
