Bio

Hi, I’m Jenna! I’m a low-income, first generation immigrant, & first generation college student who plans on double majoring in Psychology & English & minoring in Classics. Learning & making a difference in my community are my biggest passions. When I moved to a low-income school, where most people didn’t care about learning, I fell into despair. I didn’t like the lack of academic opportunities for us low-income kids, so I decided to change that. I became captain of my quiz bowl team, president-founder of our Model United Nations club, president of my school’s chapter of National Honor Society, a school ambassador, founder of a school archery club, & more! It’s my most honorable achievement to be told by peers & teachers that I changed the academic scene at our low-income school. I graduated high school in May as the valedictorian with a weighted GPA of 4.95. I want to pursue a career in the humanities & social sciences after finishing my degrees and start a nonprofit for the homeless. My dream is to inspire a love of learning/knowledge in others and help others, whether it is through a psychological breakthrough, counselling, or more. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile! I’m grateful for any scholarship I may receive; it is truly a huge help.
