I am a high school senior from Georgia with a passion for both storytelling and motorsports. With a background in playwriting, screenwriting, and poetry, I have always been drawn to creativity and technical precision.
My dream and goal are to build a career in motorsports not only as a driver, but as a technically competent professional who understands vehicle dynamics, engineering, and performance from the ground up. I plan to pursue an associate degree in Motorsports Vehicle Technology to develop hands-on mechanical expertise while continuing to compete and grow within racing and sim racing environments.
Whether I am writing scripts, watching motorsports, or studying automotive systems, I am driven by the same mindset, discipline, detail, and consistency. I want to create opportunities for myself in a competitive industry and build a future in professional motorsports.

Scott A. Ross Memorial Automotive Scholarship
I am applying for this scholarship because becoming an auto mechanic is the first real step toward my dream of becoming a professional driver.
I have always loved motorsports, everything from Formula 1, IMSA, WEC, and IndyCar, to name a few. I study how drivers attack corners, manage tire degradation, adapt to various track conditions, and communicate under pressure. Racing is more than speed to me; it is beauty, strategy, and a dance between driver and machine. It is the split-second decisions, the constant adjustments, and the desire for perfection that inspire me.
Although I do not currently own a car or a sim racing setup, I have continued finding ways to learn and improve. Limited resources have forced me to be resourceful and disciplined in how I pursue my goals. Instead of giving up, I spend time studying onboard footage, listening to team radios, researching vehicle dynamics, and learning the technical side of racing however I can. This has taught me that persistence is just as important as passion.
With the right education and hands-on experience, I am determined to grow both mechanically and behind the wheel, turning passion into preparation. Pursuing a degree in Motorsports Vehicle Technology will allow me to understand various systems, telemetry, diagnostics, and setup adjustments from the ground up. I don't want to just drive the car - I want to understand it. I want to know how small changes can make or break performance. I want to be the kind of driver who can communicate clearly with engineers, comprehend data, and give meaningful feedback that improves performance not only for myself, but for the entire team.
Receiving this scholarship would reduce the financial stress of my education. It would allow me to cover expenses such as the automotive technology courses, diagnostic tools needed for hands-on training, and books needed to study for certifications that will add value to my future in the industry. With these costs covered, I can fully focus on developing my mechanical knowledge and technical skills necessary to build a successful career in the automotive industry.
Motorsports can feel distant for students without financial advantages, but passion and discipline should not be limited by things we cannot control. My goal is to build a career where my mechanical skills enhance my driving ambitions and where I can one day mentor others who share the same dream and show them that they can achieve it too. By mastering the fundamentals of auto repair, I am not just preparing for a job; I am building the technical foundation, resilience, and discipline necessary to compete at a high level and create opportunities in an industry I deeply respect.
