Bio

I am a high school senior from Georgia with a passion for both storytelling and motorsports. With a background in playwriting, screenwriting, and poetry, I have always been drawn to creativity and technical precision. My dream and goal are to build a career in motorsports not only as a driver, but as a technically competent professional who understands vehicle dynamics, engineering, and performance from the ground up. I plan to pursue an associate degree in Motorsports Vehicle Technology to develop hands-on mechanical expertise while continuing to compete and grow within racing and sim racing environments. Whether I am writing scripts, watching motorsports, or studying automotive systems, I am driven by the same mindset, discipline, detail, and consistency. I want to create opportunities for myself in a competitive industry and build a future in professional motorsports.

Rob Novak Memorial Automotive Technology Scholarship
I am applying for this scholarship because becoming an auto mechanic is the first real step toward my dream of becoming a professional driver. I always loved motorsports, everything from Formula 1, IMSA, WEC, and IndyCar, just to name a few. I study how drivers attack corners, manage tire degradation, adapt to various track conditions, and communicate under pressure. Racing is more than speed to me, it's beauty, advanced, and a dance with driver and machine. It is the split-second decisions, the constant adjustments, and the desire for perfection that inspire me. I do not currently have a sim racing setup of my own it hasn’t stopped me from learning other aspects. I watch onboard footage and learn the technical aspects of racing. Taking notes on braking points, race strategy, and how teams adjust setups throughout a weekend, because I believe preparation is key to compete dreams. With the education and hands-on experience, I am determined to grow both mechanically converting passion into preparation. Pursuing a degree in Motorsports Vehicle Technology will allow me to understand various systems, telemetry, diagnostics, and setup adjustments from the ground up. I do not want to drive a car. I want to understand the car. I want to know how small changes can make or break a car. I want to be the kind of driver who can communicate clearly with engineers, comprehend data, and give meaningful feedback that improves performance not only for me, but for the team. Financial support would ease the road and allow me to focus on mastering skills while working toward building tools, including eventually investing in sim equipment to put my knowledge to work. This scholarship would not only support my education but also bring me closer to creating real, hands-on opportunities to achieve something I've dreamed of my whole life. Motorsports can feel distant for students without money, but passion and discipline should not be limited by things we cannot control. My goal is to build a career where my mechanical skills enhance my driving ambitions and where I can one day mentor others who share the same dream and show them that they can do it too. By mastering the fundamentals of auto repair, I am not just preparing for a job, I am building the foundation, and discipline needed to compete at a high level and to create opportunities in an industry I deeply respect.
