Bio

I have a passion for self-improvement. I believe you can never stop growing as a person, which pushes me to try new things. I've entered writing contests, ran for student councils, started my own business, and continued to widen my horizons. My biggest goal in life is to positively impact as many lives as I can. In turn, I want to create another business or continue to grow my business in order to be able to provide jobs and donate to those who are often forgotten.

I live my life with a commitment to not only learning but also to leaving a positive impact on my community. Central to this mission is my practice of servant leadership. I believe that no one can truly thrive unless those around them do, and I strive to bring light and value to people’s lives, no matter how small the act may be. I understand that small acts of kindness can mean just as much, if not more, than grand gestures. My journey to encourage change and positivity has been marked by various leadership roles. As a class officer, Future Farmers of America officer, and member of Mike Thompson’s student leadership council, I have embraced opportunities to influence and inspire others. Additionally, I co-founded and managed a pool cleaning business, which has left a significant impact on my community over the past three years. This business venture taught me invaluable lessons about entrepreneurship and its potential to positively affect lives. Growing up, my dream careers always involved bettering people’s lives, from being a dentist to a sports scientist or a child and adolescent psychiatrist. However, in my sophomore year, I discovered a deep love and appreciation for entrepreneurship. Initially, I struggled to see how entrepreneurship could bring value to people, but over time, I recognized its inherent potential. Helping those who could no longer clean their pools or providing employment opportunities to people struggling to find jobs showed me that entrepreneurship could be a powerful tool for making a difference. As a minority and a woman, I have faced various insults and microaggressions. Despite these challenges, I have never let negative comments deter me from pursuing my dreams. I aspire to instill this resilient mindset in other girls who may face similar struggles. Currently, I am dedicated to encouraging my younger sisters and, in some cases, my mother to believe in themselves and their potential. I am willing to invest time and resources to reach as many girls and women as possible. My hope as I pursue a career in business is to uplift people, specifically young girls and women who never had the support they needed growing up. I firmly believe in investing in the younger generation, as they are our future, but I also recognize the importance of acknowledging and supporting older generations. People of all ages deserve the opportunity to realize their potential and achieve their dreams. Looking forward, I am excited about the future because I am committed to creating opportunities and fostering change in every community I touch. I want to build a business that not only thrives economically but also serves as a beacon of hope and empowerment for people. By providing mentorship, resources, and a supportive community, I aim to help others overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. In conclusion, I am driven by the desire to make a positive impact on the world through my career in business. I will continue to lead with kindness, resilience, and a commitment to uplifting others. Through my efforts, I hope to inspire and empower people, creating a ripple effect of positive change that will benefit generations to come.

From a young age, my ambition has been to leave a positive mark on as many lives as possible, and this pursuit has been the guiding force throughout my life. Initially drawn to the idea of attending a four-year university, my aspirations for a major evolved over time. Initially, dentistry captured my interest, followed by a fascination with sports science. However, it was during my sophomore year that I was introduced to the field of children and adolescent psychiatry, igniting a passion that lasted until I was introduced to entrepreneurship at the age of 15. Well, I should say I started to take entrepreneurship seriously. My entrepreneurial spirit emerged when I founded my first venture, Helping Hand, at the age of 11. This venture, offering services such as dog-walking, babysitting, and plant-sitting, was not just a means of earning pocket money; it was my first launch into the world of business. Through careful planning and dedication, I invested in business cards and distributed them throughout my neighborhood with the help of my family. It was not until I was approached by a neighbor, one of my clients at the time, asking to start a pool cleaning business together that I would eventually fully realize the potential of entrepreneurship. Initially motivated by financial gain, I soon discovered a deeper calling within entrepreneurship. Despite my initial aspirations toward psychiatry, I began to recognize the inherent value I could bring to people's lives through business ventures. Whether it was providing older clients with a taken-care of pool for family gatherings or offering employment opportunities to those in need, I realized the profound impact that even small acts could have on others. This realization transformed my understanding of my career path. I came to see that regardless of the profession I pursued, my ultimate goal remained constant: to make a positive difference in people's lives. Whether it was promoting dental hygiene, enhancing sports safety, or addressing mental health concerns, my underlying motivation was always to serve others. Additionally, my entrepreneurial journey taught me the importance of giving back to the community. Inspired by the support and mentorship I received from my neighbor-turned-family friend, I aspire to pay it forward by investing in the next generation. Through financial assistance and mentorship, I hope to empower young individuals to pursue their dreams and make their own positive impact on the world. In short, my journey from childhood aspirations to entrepreneurial endeavors has been driven by a desire to bring value to others. While my career path may have evolved over, my commitment to making a positive impact remains unwavering. Through entrepreneurship and beyond, I am dedicated to leaving a lasting legacy of compassion, support, and empowerment in the lives of those around me.
