Bio

Hello, my name is Jay Meyers. I am currently a Junior at the University of Colorado Boulder, Leeds School of Business. I am pursuing a dual emphasis in Finance and Information Management & Analytics. I am extremely passionate about diversity and inclusion within the business world because I believe harnessing and understanding different cultures and ethnic backgrounds are at the forefront of solutions. On the side, I am pursuing a degree in humor and a minor in sarcasm, I bring levity and laughter to even the most mundane tasks. My colleagues call me the office clown, but I prefer the title 'Professional Jokester and Idea Generator.' When I'm not cracking jokes, you can find me solving problems and coming up with innovative solutions. Laughter is the best medicine, after all. I am also juggling two jobs and a full course load. No sweat though, I've got this! By day, I'm an ITO intern, fixing tech issues and coding my way to the top. By night, I moonlight as a front desk wizard, answering phones, greeting guests, and keeping the office running smoothly. My secret weapon? Caffeine and a never-ending supply of jokes. But, let's be real, the real reason I'm doing it all is to pay off those pesky tuition fees. Wish me luck, and feel free to reach out for a tech tip or a good laugh. Thank you so much for taking the time to look through my profile. I am grateful to all donors for providing me with an opportunity to fund my studies. I hope everyone enjoys their day!

Ah, the question of what I value most in myself. This is a great opportunity for me to reflect on the many amazing qualities that I possess. I mean, I'm like a veritable treasure trove of fantastic traits. But, after much contemplation and a few rounds of "eeny, meeny, miny, moe," I've finally made a decision. The quality I value most in myself is my unwavering optimism. I'm like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day. No matter how bad things may seem, I always find a way to see the silver lining. And let me tell you, this has been a lifesaver, especially on those days when everything seems to be going wrong. I understand that not everyone shares this quality. In fact, some people are downright pessimistic. But, to me, optimism is the key to happiness. When you approach each day with a positive attitude, everything just seems to fall into place. It's like magic, I tell you. I believe that my optimism is a result of my upbringing. My parents always taught me to look on the bright side of things, no matter what. Even when we weren't the most well-off family, they instilled in me a sense of hope and determination that has stayed with me throughout my life. It's a gift that I am truly grateful for, and one that I cherish deeply. Of course, it's not always easy to maintain a positive outlook, especially when life throws curveballs your way. But, I have found that it's often in those moments of adversity that I am able to tap into my inner strength and rise to the occasion. One example of this was when I lost my job. It was a tough time for me, and I felt like the world was collapsing around me. But, instead of letting myself sink into despair, I used my optimism to find a new opportunity. I networked, I applied for jobs, and I kept a positive attitude throughout the entire process. And, eventually, I found an even better job than the one I had lost at one of the best investment banks in the world. It was a true testament to the power of optimism. In my life journey, my unwavering optimism will be a valuable asset in numerous ways. Firstly, it will help me to overcome challenges and obstacles that I may encounter. No matter what life throws at me, I know that I have the inner strength and resilience to find a solution and keep moving forward. This will give me the confidence to tackle new opportunities and pursue my goals with determination. Secondly, my optimism will help me to maintain a positive outlook in all aspects of my life. Whether I am facing a difficult situation at work, or simply having a bad day, I know that I have the ability to turn things around and find joy in even the toughest moments. This will help me to live a more fulfilling life, and to find happiness in all that I do. Finally, my optimism will also be a source of inspiration to those around me. People are naturally drawn to positive individuals, and I know that my infectious attitude will have a ripple effect on those I interact with. This will help me to build meaningful relationships, both personally and professionally, and to make a positive impact on the world. In conclusion, my unwavering optimism is the quality I value most in myself. It makes life more enjoyable and helps me to overcome challenges. And, as I've outlined, it will be
