My name is Javier Vazquez, and one thing I know for sure is that I want to work in marketing. I’ve always been the type of person who notices the way things are shown to people—whether it’s a product, a service, or a message. I believe marketing is more than just making something look good. It’s about helping people connect with something that can improve their life. That’s why I’m so drawn to it. My goal is to build a career that brings good energy, real value, and strong connections between businesses and people.
Growing up, I saw how much influence marketing has on the world. One post, one ad, one message can reach thousands—or even millions—of people. That power can be used in many ways, but I want to use it to make a real difference, not just sell stuff. I want to help businesses that actually care about people. Maybe that’s a small local shop, a startup, or even a nonprofit. I want to help them grow by getting the right message to the right people. If I can help a business grow while making customers feel good about what they’re getting, then I’m doing my job right.
In the future, I plan to start my own marketing business. I don’t want to just be part of a company—I want to build one. I want to create a place where young creators and entrepreneurs can work together, learn from each other, and grow their brands in a healthy, honest way. My dream is to teach others how to market themselves and their ideas the right way—not with fake hype, but with real stories and true value. I want to show people, especially young ones like me, that there are ways to be successful while staying real.
Part of my long-term goal is also to give back to my community. I want to offer free or low-cost help to small local businesses that can’t afford big agencies. I know many good people with great ideas who don’t have the tools or knowledge to promote what they do. I want to help them get seen. Whether it’s helping a food truck grow through social media, or teaching a teen how to brand their clothing line, I want to be there.
Later on, I want to teach students what I’ve learned. I didn’t grow up knowing a lot about business or marketing, but I learned by paying attention, staying curious, and trying things on my own. I want to pass that on. I want to speak in schools, create online content, and maybe even build a program where young people can explore entrepreneurship and marketing in a hands-on way.
Marketing is my future. It’s how I plan to build something that lasts, not just for me, but for others too. I want to help people feel confident about what they do, proud of what they make, and excited about what’s possible. That’s the kind of impact I hope to make—and I’m ready to get started.

My name is Javier Vazquez, and I’ve always been someone who notices how people react to things—how they smile when they hear a good song, or how they feel proud when they buy something that makes them feel better. That’s what got me interested in marketing. It’s not just about selling stuff. To me, it’s about how we make people feel. I want to build a career in marketing so I can help others find joy, feel confident in their choices, and even chase their dreams. I want to make people happy through the way things are shared, shown, and sold.
When I see a great ad or a cool product video, it sticks with me. Not because it looks fancy, but because it connects to something real—like making life easier, solving a problem, or just bringing good energy. I want to create that. I want to use my creativity and communication skills to help small businesses, brands, or even local shops reach more people in a way that feels real and honest. I believe good marketing can help both sides: the business grows, and the customer feels good about what they get. It’s a win for everyone.
In the future, I don’t just want to work for someone else forever. I want to become an entrepreneur—someone who builds their own business from the ground up. I want to build something that matters. Whether it’s a brand that helps people improve their lives, or a service that brings people together, I want to be behind it. I want to create something I believe in and help others do the same.
Someday, I also want to teach students how to do it better than I did. I want to show young people that they don’t need to wait for someone to give them a shot—they can create their own shot. I didn’t grow up with everything handed to me. I had to learn things on my own, figure it out, mess up, and keep going. If I can learn and grow, so can they. I want to teach them how to use social media the right way, how to build a brand, how to speak with confidence, and how to stay true to who they are. Because that’s the part of marketing most people forget—it’s about people first.
In the next few years, I want to study marketing in school or through real-world experiences. I want to learn what works and what doesn’t. I want to work with people, build relationships, and find ways to stand out without being fake. I care about honesty and good energy. I believe that when you truly care about others, it shows in your work—and people feel that.
The world is full of voices, but I want mine to stand for something real. Through marketing, I’ll help others feel proud of what they offer, happy with what they receive, and inspired to build something of their own. That’s the kind of impact I want to make.

The environment is something we all share, and it needs help. We see signs of climate change everywhere—hotter days, rising seas, and wild weather. I believe that in the next five years, I can make a positive impact on both my local and global communities using technology and wellness. These two areas are connected more than people think.
First, I plan to use technology in smart ways to reduce waste and pollution. One idea I have is to help make or promote an app that tracks how much energy a household uses. Many people don’t realize how much electricity they waste leaving lights on or running machines all day. With a simple app, we could show people their habits and offer tips to save energy. That would cut down on power use, which helps the planet.
I also want to spread awareness using social media. Most people are on their phones all day, so why not use that time for good? I could make short videos or posts that teach people how to recycle better, eat less meat, or switch to eco-friendly products. If even a few people change because of those posts, it adds up over time.
The wellness part matters too. Many people are stressed, tired, or unhealthy, and that leads to habits that hurt the environment—like eating fast food all the time or using too much plastic. I want to help people feel better by showing them small ways to live healthier and greener. For example, walking or biking instead of driving helps the planet and boosts your mood. Drinking water from a reusable bottle instead of buying plastic ones is better for your body and the Earth.
I also think we should grow more food at home. Even small gardens or pots on the porch can help. I want to help start a community garden in my area, where people can grow fruits and vegetables together. That would save trips to the store, lower plastic waste from packaging, and bring people closer.
In five years, I won’t save the world alone. But if I stick to these ideas, and help others do the same, I believe I can make a real difference. One app, one post, one garden—these small steps add up to something big. That’s how I plan to help the planet through wellness and tech.
In the end, I believe that anyone can help the environment if they care enough to try. We don’t have to be perfect, and we don’t need to wait for someone else to fix things. If we all do a little bit—like using less plastic, walking more, or helping others learn—then together we can create real change. I’m excited to be part of that change, starting now and continuing for the next five years and beyond.

I never thought I’d fall in love with learning until I took a class called Money Matters in high school. Before that, I just saw school as something I had to get through. But that class changed everything for me. It opened my eyes to how powerful knowledge about money, budgeting, and finance can be—not just for businesses, but for everyday people like me.
Money Matters introduced me to the basics of economics, and for the first time, I found myself actually excited to learn. We studied how money flows through the economy, how people make financial decisions, and how data can tell stories about the world. I learned how to create simple budgets, read graphs, and even understand basic investing. I started watching videos and reading more on my own, just because I wanted to understand more. That’s when I realized I didn’t just like learning about money—I loved it.
This passion for finance and data analytics has shaped the way I think. I’m more careful with how I spend money, and I’ve started helping friends and family make small budgets too. I also learned to pay more attention to trends and patterns, not just in numbers, but in life. Learning these skills has made me feel more confident about the future, like I have tools I can use to build the life I want.
My love for learning about economics and finance has also helped me grow personally. It taught me patience, problem-solving, and that it’s okay to not understand something right away—as long as I keep trying. This mindset has helped me in other classes and in life outside school too. I’ve become more curious, more focused, and more driven to learn things that will help me succeed.
Looking ahead, I want to study marketing and data analytics in college. I dream of working in a field where I can mix creativity with numbers—like helping companies make smart decisions by understanding their data. This scholarship would mean so much to me because it would bring me one step closer to that dream. I know I have the passion and work ethic to make the most of it—I just need the chance. With someone help by scholarships it can make me achieve my goals and will help me accomplish my dream. My dream is to be an entrepreneur and one day own a business and teach young people how to when I was in there shoes.
