Growing up in a single-mother household taught me lessons no textbook ever could. My mother’s unwavering determination to provide for our family despite limited resources became the blueprint for my own ambition. I saw firsthand what resilience looked like—late nights, early mornings, and sacrifices that often went unseen. Those experiences instilled in me an inner drive that has carried me through every challenge, from the soccer field to the classroom.
Soccer became more than just a sport—it was my escape, passion, and foundation for discipline. Without the means for expensive gear or training camps, I relied on community programs, scholarships, and the generosity of coaches who believed in me. On the field, I learned perseverance in its purest form: losing meant coming back stronger, and winning required humility. Soccer shaped me into someone who thrives under pressure, adapts quickly, and refuses to quit when the odds are against me.
The values I developed as an athlete—teamwork, focus, and resilience—now guide my academic and career aspirations. While my journey began on the field, I realized my influence could extend far beyond it. That’s why I am pursuing a business degree: to take the discipline and determination I’ve honed as an athlete and use them to build a career that makes a lasting, positive impact.
My vision is to leverage my education to open doors for others—especially those from underrepresented communities like my own. I’ve seen firsthand how systemic barriers can limit opportunities for people of color in both sports and business. Whether it’s access to resources, mentorship, or professional networks, the gap is real. My goal is to help close that gap—not just to succeed personally, but to create pathways for others to succeed alongside me.
In the business world, representation matters. When young people see leaders who look like them and share their background, it expands their belief in what’s possible. I want to be that example—a professional who not only achieves success but also lifts others up. I plan to build initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion by creating mentorship programs, internships, and scholarships for aspiring professionals from marginalized backgrounds.
I also believe in entrepreneurship as a powerful tool for empowerment. My long-term goal is to start a business that invests in underserved communities, providing training, financial education, and opportunities for economic growth. By combining business strategy with my lived experience, I can create solutions that are both practical and empathetic.
The same ambition that pushes me on the soccer field will drive me to work tirelessly in my professional life. My upbringing taught me that hard work is non-negotiable, but also that success is most meaningful when it’s shared.
With my business degree, I will have the tools to turn my vision into reality. My story began with a dream of playing soccer, but it will continue with the mission of building a more inclusive future—one where opportunity is not determined by background, but by potential. That, I believe, will be my greatest win.

From a young age, I've always been fascinated by the power of words, images, and ideas to influence people's thoughts and actions. This curiosity about how messages can shape perceptions and drive behaviors naturally led me to develop an interest in marketing. Over time, my admiration grew into a genuine passion for understanding consumer behavior, crafting compelling stories, and creating impactful campaigns that resonate with audiences. Pursuing a career in marketing is not just a professional choice for me; it’s a way to harness my creativity, analytical skills, and desire to make a meaningful difference in the world.
One of the primary reasons I am drawn to marketing is the dynamic and ever-evolving nature of the field. Unlike many other careers that may become routine over time, marketing constantly challenges its practitioners to innovate and adapt. The rapid integration of digital technologies, social media, data analytics, and artificial intelligence has transformed the landscape, making it an exciting environment where learning never stops. I am eager to be at the forefront of these changes, leveraging new tools and platforms to develop strategies that truly connect with people. This continual evolution fuels my enthusiasm and motivates me to stay curious and proactive.
My inspiration to pursue marketing also stems from a desire to tell meaningful stories. I believe that storytelling has the power to inspire change, foster understanding, and build communities. Throughout my life, I have been captivated by campaigns and initiatives that successfully communicated a message and sparked action—whether it was a social movement, a brand campaign, or a community project. Seeing how a well-crafted message can influence attitudes and behaviors reinforced my belief in marketing’s potential to drive positive societal impact. I want to be part of that process, creating content that not only promotes products but also promotes values, awareness, and progress.
Another significant motivation is my passion for creativity and problem-solving. Marketing requires a unique blend of artistic talent and analytical thinking—a balance I find deeply stimulating. I enjoy brainstorming innovative ideas, designing visual content, and developing narratives that captivate audiences. At the same time, I appreciate analyzing data to understand what resonates and refining strategies accordingly. This combination of creativity and logic aligns perfectly with my skills and interests. I see marketing as an avenue where I can continuously challenge myself to think outside the box while grounded in strategic thinking.
Furthermore, my interest in marketing is intertwined with my commitment to diversity and inclusion. I aspire to work in an environment that celebrates different perspectives and fosters equitable representation. I want to utilize marketing as a tool to amplify underrepresented voices, promote social justice, and create campaigns that reflect the richness of various cultures and experiences. This purpose-driven approach gives my career aspirations greater meaning and aligns with my values.
Lastly, I am motivated by the tangible results marketing can deliver. Seeing a campaign come to life—from concept to execution—and knowing it successfully reaches and influences an audience provides a sense of fulfillment. The measurable impact of marketing efforts allows for continuous learning and improvement, which keeps the field engaging and rewarding for me.
In conclusion, my decision to pursue a career in marketing is fueled by a combination of curiosity, creativity, a desire to make a difference, and an enthusiasm for lifelong learning. I am inspired by the power of storytelling, excited by technological advancements, and committed to using marketing as a force for positive change. With passion and dedication, I look forward to contributing to this vibrant field and shaping narratives that inspire, inform, and empower.

Education is a powerful tool for change, and earning a business degree provides the knowledge, skills, and opportunities necessary to make a meaningful impact. As a future business leader, I am committed to leveraging my education to create pathways for Black entrepreneurs and professionals, fostering equitable opportunities, and promoting diversity and inclusion within the business community.
First and foremost, I plan to use my business education to empower Black-owned businesses by providing mentorship and resources. Many Black entrepreneurs face barriers such as limited access to capital, networks, and mentorship opportunities. By establishing mentorship programs, I aim to connect aspiring Black entrepreneurs with experienced professionals who can guide them through the complexities of starting and growing a business. Additionally, I hope to collaborate with financial institutions and community organizations to facilitate access to funding, ensuring that talented entrepreneurs have the financial support they need to succeed.
Furthermore, I intend to promote entrepreneurship within Black communities by offering workshops, training sessions, and seminars that cover essential business topics such as marketing, financial management, and strategic planning. Education is a key driver of success, and equipping aspiring entrepreneurs with practical knowledge will build confidence and foster sustainable growth. My business degree will enable me to design and deliver these educational initiatives effectively, making them accessible and impactful.
In addition, I believe that increasing representation of Black professionals in corporate leadership is vital for systemic change. To this end, I plan to advocate for diversity and inclusion initiatives within organizations, encouraging businesses to prioritize equitable hiring practices and development programs. Using insights gained from my studies, I will help companies understand the value of diverse leadership and implement strategies to create more inclusive workplaces. This approach will not only benefit Black employees but also enhance organizational innovation and performance.
Another key aspect of my plan involves community engagement and partnerships. Building strong relationships with local schools, colleges, and community organizations will allow me to inspire young Black students to pursue business education and careers. Internship and scholarship programs can open doors for talented youth, providing them with exposure and experience that might otherwise be out of reach. Early intervention is crucial to breaking down barriers and inspiring future generations to envision a successful career in business.
Moreover, I am committed to fostering an entrepreneurial ecosystem that supports Black innovators in tech, social enterprise, and other emerging industries. By creating networking events, incubators, and accelerators specifically dedicated to Black entrepreneurs, I aim to cultivate a community where ideas can flourish, and collaboration is encouraged. My business education will help me identify the best practices for building these ecosystems, ensuring they are sustainable and impactful.
Finally, I recognize that systemic change requires advocacy and policy work. Armed with my business knowledge, I plan to advocate for policies that address economic disparities faced by Black communities, such as fair lending practices, equitable access to contracts, and support for minority-owned businesses. Engaging with policymakers and community leaders, I will strive to influence change at both local and national levels.
In conclusion, my business education is not merely a personal achievement but a platform to create lasting change. Through mentorship, education, advocacy, and community engagement, I aim to build a more equitable landscape where Black entrepreneurs and professionals can thrive. By doing so, I hope to contribute to a future where diversity is celebrated, opportunities are accessible, and Black success stories are countless and sustained.

Being part of a community has shown me that hope for the future is built not in isolation, but in the bonds we form with others. It’s in those shared moments of support, compassion, and teamwork that I’ve learned the true power of connection and how even small acts can create lasting change. My community has taught me that when people come together, they don’t just share resources or ideas, they share strength.
One experience that deeply shaped my perspective happened during a community soccer camp for underprivileged kids in my neighborhood. I had joined as a volunteer coach, eager to share my love for the sport that had once given me an escape from my own challenges. The camp was held on a field that had seen better days, with patchy grass and worn goal nets, but to the kids who arrived, it felt like a stadium. Many showed up wearing worn-out shoes or playing barefoot, but their faces lit up the moment the ball rolled onto the field.
As the days went on, I noticed how soccer became more than just a game for them, it was a place where they could forget about life’s hardships and just be kids. I remembered being in their position, finding freedom and joy in the sport despite limited resources. That connection made me even more determined to make the camp a meaningful experience. I didn’t just run drills; I encouraged them, listened to their stories, and reminded them they were capable of more than they might believe. I wanted them to leave not just with better soccer skills, but with a stronger belief in themselves.
On the final day, as the sun was setting and parents began to arrive, one boy who had been quiet and reserved all week came up to me. With a shy smile, he said, “I want to play just like you someday.” It was a simple sentence, but it hit me hard. In that moment, I realized that what I had given him wasn’t just coaching, it was hope. Someone had once done that for me, and now I was passing it forward.
This experience taught me that resilience often begins when someone feels seen and supported. It reminded me that kindness doesn’t always take the form of grand gestures; sometimes it’s as simple as showing up, giving your time, and treating people with dignity. The boy’s words reinforced my belief that hope spreads when we invest in others, no matter how small the act might seem.
Being part of a community has given me hope for the future because I’ve seen firsthand how people can lift one another up in ways that ripple far beyond the moment. Connection builds trust. Kindness fosters courage. Resilience grows when we face challenges together. Every time I contribute to my community, I’m reminded that progress isn’t measured just by personal achievements, but by the positive impact we leave on others.
Those lessons are what keep me moving forward. I know there will always be obstacles, but there will also always be opportunities to inspire hope in others, just as my community has inspired hope in me. That, more than anything, is why I believe the future holds something bright: because together, we have the power to create it.

My mother worked tirelessly to provide for our family, and watching her persevere through hardship taught me that success is earned through grit and unwavering commitment. Despite facing financial constraints and limited resources, soccer became a beacon of hope and opportunity for me a place where my dreams felt within reach.
From the moment I first kicked a ball, I discovered a natural talent and deep passion for the sport. The game quickly became more than just an activity; it was a sanctuary. On the field, I felt free from the weight of life’s challenges and able to express myself fully. With limited financial resources, I relied heavily on community programs, scholarship opportunities, and the generosity of coaches and mentors who saw potential in me. Every practice, every match, and every early morning training session was a chance to prove to myself that my circumstances would not define my future.
There were times when the road felt overwhelming when balancing academics, training, and part-time work to support my family tested my endurance. There were seasons where I played without the newest gear or traveled long distances for games without the comfort others might take for granted. Yet, each challenge only fueled my determination. Soccer was not just a sport for me; it was a mission to rise above limitations and show that resilience and hard work can outshine any obstacle.
The discipline I developed on the field carried over into all aspects of my life. I learned to set clear goals, to remain focused under pressure, and to embrace teamwork as a powerful tool for success. My upbringing taught me humility reminding me to be grateful for every opportunity and resilience, which kept me moving forward when faced with setbacks.
Now, as I embark on my college soccer journey, I carry these lessons with me. My past has shaped not only the player I am, but also the person I strive to be: someone who leads with integrity, works tirelessly toward their goals, and inspires others to chase their dreams despite adversity. I understand the importance of giving back, and I hope to one day mentor young athletes facing similar challenges, showing them that their potential is not limited by their circumstances.
I am committed to excelling both academically and athletically, pushing myself to new heights while representing my team and community with pride. My vision extends beyond the soccer field. I aim to build a life that reflects the same passion, persistence, and purpose that brought me here. Whether in sports, career, or personal endeavors, I am determined to make a lasting impact on those around me.
Additionally, I plan on helping make a positive impact on the world by trying to inspire other less fortunate kids and young adults. Being another light down a dark road to show them that even tho the odds may not be in your favor if you persist in what you love doing, you can make your dream come true.
The journey ahead will undoubtedly bring new challenges, but I welcome them. My determination, passion, and unwavering commitment to my goals will continue to guide me, paving the way for a future filled with growth, success, and the opportunity to inspire others to rise above their own obstacles.

My involvement in my local church has been a cornerstone of the service I provide to my community. The church is not just a place of worship it is a hub of compassion, support, and action, where faith becomes tangible care. Through its ministries, outreach programs, and fellowship, I have found countless opportunities to serve and grow, shaping how I engage with people beyond the church walls.
One of the most profound ways my church involvement has influenced my service is by instilling a mindset of selflessness. Whether it’s volunteering at food drives, helping with community clean-up days, or organizing fundraisers, I’ve learned that real service means giving time and energy without expecting anything in return. This lesson reminds me the heart of service is not recognition, but the quiet satisfaction of knowing someone’s life is brighter because you acted.
The church has also provided practical training for community service. By working in ministries such as youth mentorship, music ministry, and event coordination I have gained organizational skills, public speaking experience, and the ability to collaborate with people from diverse backgrounds. For example, leading a youth program taught me to plan activities, manage budgets, and encourage participation, skills I later applied to organizing neighborhood events that brought together families, businesses, and schools.
The relationships I’ve built through my church have been a driving force in my service. The church community is a family, bound by shared values and mutual care. Serving alongside people equally committed to making a difference strengthens my resolve and shows me the power of collective effort. When our church collaborates on outreach projects whether visiting nursing homes, hosting free community meals, or supporting disaster relief I’m reminded that real change happens when people unite with a common purpose.
My church involvement has also deepened my compassion and empathy. Faith teaches me to see every person as valuable and deserving of dignity, regardless of their circumstances. This shapes how I serve outside the church. For example, when volunteering at a homeless shelter, I approach every interaction with respect and kindness, not as charity, but as a chance to connect with another human being on equal footing.
Additionally, my church provides a platform for engaging with pressing social issues. Through sermons, study groups, and discussions, I’ve been encouraged to think critically about injustice, inequality, and systemic challenges. This awareness drives me to address not only immediate needs, but also root causes. Instead of simply donating food, I’ve joined church-led initiatives that provide job training, educational support, and financial literacy workshops, helping people work toward long-term stability.
Ultimately, my involvement in my church has given me both the heart and the tools to serve effectively. It has taught me that service is not an occasional act, but a way of life an ongoing commitment to love, care, and uplift those around me. Every project, outreach effort, and act of kindness I take part in is grounded in the lessons, values, and relationships I’ve found there, equipping me to make a lasting impact far beyond its doors.

Leadership is a quality that sets individuals apart from the crowd. It requires someone to take charge, inspire others, and achieve goals through effective decision-making and communication. In my everyday life, I have consistently demonstrated these leadership qualities through my actions and interactions with those around me.
One aspect of leadership that is evident in my daily life is my ability to lead by example. I believe that actions speak louder than words, and as a leader, it is essential to practice what you preach. Whether it is working diligently on a project or treating others with respect and kindness, I consistently demonstrate the behavior I expect from others. By doing so, I set a positive example for my peers and encourage them to strive for excellence as well.
Another way I exemplify leadership is through effective communication. A leader must be able to clearly articulate their vision, goals, and expectations to their team members. In my everyday life, I embrace challenges as opportunities for growth and learning. Instead of becoming discouraged by setbacks, I view them as valuable lessons that can strengthen my character. By demonstrating this positive mindset, I encourage others to approach difficulties with a similar attitude, fostering a culture of perseverance and resilience.
Lastly, effective leadership requires a sense of empathy and understanding towards others. A leader must be able to connect with their team members on a personal level and acknowledge their individual strengths and weaknesses. In my everyday life, I make an effort to foster genuine relationships with those around me. By taking the time to listen, empathize, and support others, I create a sense of trust and camaraderie. Embarking on a soccer career is not just about the love for the sport; it requires perseverance and determination to overcome challenges. Throughout my journey, I have faced numerous obstacles, with one recurring setback being the constant strain on my hamstring. However, amidst these hardships, I ultimately emerged victorious by leading my team to a remarkable victory in an international tournament. This essay will delve into the highs and lows of my soccer career.
Straining my hamstring: The Turning Point
During the early stages of my soccer career, I encountered a major setback - straining my hamstring. Initially, it seemed like a mere inconvenience, but it soon became a recurring issue that affected my performance on the field. Every time I rehabilitated, only to strain it again, the frustration grew. These injuries proved to be significant hurdles, both physically and mentally, as they left me questioning my capabilities.
Determination and Perseverance
Despite the continuous strain on my hamstring, I refused to give up on my dream. I sought guidance from sports therapists and trainers who provided me with exercises and techniques to strengthen my hamstring. Additionally, I adopted a rigorous training regimen and modified my playing style to minimize stress on the affected area. This demonstrated my unwavering determination and resilience in the face of adversity.
The Bittersweet Taste of Recovery
Following months of rehabilitation and a grueling training routine, I finally overcame the hamstring issues. However, the road to recovery was not without its challenges. The process demanded tremendous patience and discipline. Nonetheless, the feeling of regaining my strength and returning to the field was truly rewarding. It was a reminder that setbacks can be conquered with perseverance and an unwavering spirit.
The Pinnacle of Success: Winning an International Tournament

This achievement not only validated my dedication but also showcased the resilience and steadfastness of my teammates. It was a culmination of years of hard work, sacrifice, and determination. The taste of success after enduring countless setbacks was sweeter than ever before.
The Collective Triumph
Winning an international tournament required collaboration, synergy, and trust among team members. As much as my individual triumph was satisfying, it was the collective effort that made the victory so significant. The bond forged on and off the field enabled us to conquer formidable opponents and secure the championship. This experience taught me the power of teamwork and the importance of fostering strong relationships within a team.
In conclusion my soccer career has been filled with various ups and downs, from struggling with recurring hamstring strains to achieving the ultimate victory in an international tournament. If I could change one negative thing in my environment, it would be pollution. Pollution has a detrimental impact on the environment and human health. By reducing pollution levels, we can improve air and water quality, protect ecosystems, and create a healthier and more sustainable future for ourselves and future generations.
Pollution is a global problem that affects every corner of the Earth. It is caused by various factors, including industrial activities, vehicular emissions, improper waste disposal, and deforestation. These activities release harmful pollutants into the air, water, and soil, leading to numerous negative consequences.
One of the main reasons why I would choose to change pollution is its profound effects on human health. Air pollution, for example, is linked to respiratory diseases such as asthma, bronchitis, and lung cancer. Studies show that long-term exposure to polluted air can even result in premature death. Water pollution, on the other hand, can lead to waterborne diseases, affecting millions of people worldwide. By reducing pollution, we can improve public health outcomes and enhance the quality of life for everyone.
In addition to its impact on human health, pollution also poses a significant threat to our environment. It harms biodiversity by contaminating habitats and disrupting ecosystems. Toxins released into the environment can accumulate in plants, animals, and marine life, making their way up the food chain and potentially harming human beings who consume them. This can lead to a loss of species, imbalance in ecosystems, and even extinction of certain plants and animals. By addressing pollution, we can protect and preserve the delicate balance of nature.
Furthermore, pollution contributes to climate change, one of the most pressing challenges of our time. The release of greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide and methane, from various human activities, including burning fossil fuels, is the primary driver of global warming. Climate change impacts our planet in numerous ways, including rising sea levels, extreme weather events, and changes in ecosystems. By reducing pollution, we can mitigate climate change and work towards a more sustainable future.
Addressing pollution requires a multifaceted approach. Governments should implement stricter regulations on industries and promote the use of clean and renewable energy sources. Encouraging individuals to adopt eco-friendly habits, such as reducing waste, recycling, and using public transport, can also make a significant difference. Investing in research and innovation to develop cleaner technologies and practices is crucial.
Reducing pollution not only benefits the environment but also has economic advantages. The cost of healthcare associated with pollution-related illnesses is substantial. By preventing these health issues through pollution reduction, governments can save money and allocate resources to other sectors. Moreover, investing in clean technologies and renewable energy sources can create green jobs and stimulate economic growth.
Changing pollution levels requires collective action. It is not just the responsibility of governments and industries; individuals also have a crucial role to play. We can start by making small changes in our daily lives, such as conserving energy, using eco-friendly products, and practicing responsible waste management. Education and awareness campaigns can also help spread knowledge and empower individuals to take action.
In conclusion, if I could change one negative thing in my environment, it would be pollution. Pollution adversely affects human health, harms the environment, contributes to climate change, and poses numerous challenges for our future. By reducing pollution levels, we can improve air and water quality, protect ecosystems, and create a healthier and more sustainable future for ourselves and future generations. It requires collective action, from governments, industries, and individuals, to address pollution effectively and make a positive impact on our planet.

This adversity taught me the importance of resilience, gratitude, and the power of love in overcoming life's challenges.
Another adversity I encountered was financial hardship. Growing up in a low-income household, I witnessed firsthand the struggles my family faced to make ends meet. This adversity motivated me to work hard academically and pursue opportunities that would lead to a brighter future. I understood that education was the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and creating a better life for myself and my family. Through perseverance and determination, I earned scholarships and grants that enabled me to pursue higher education and achieve academic success. This experience taught me the value of hard work, determination, and the importance of seizing opportunities when they arise.
Furthermore, I faced a significant setback in my professional career. After years of dedication and hard work, I was unexpectedly laid off from my job. This adversity shook my confidence and left me questioning my abilities and future prospects. However, I chose to view this setback as an opportunity for growth and self-discovery. I took the time to reassess my goals and aspirations, exploring new avenues and acquiring new skills. Through networking and perseverance, I eventually landed a better job that aligned with my passions and allowed me to thrive professionally. This experience taught me the importance of adaptability, resilience, and embracing change as an opportunity for growth.
In conclusion, overcoming adversity is a transformative process that allows individuals to grow, learn, and become stronger versions of themselves. Through personal experiences such as loss, financial hardship, and setbacks in my professional career, I have learned valuable lessons that have shaped my character and outlook on life. I have learned the importance of resilience, gratitude, hard work, determination, adaptability, and seizing opportunities. These lessons have not only helped me overcome adversity, but they have also empowered me to face future challenges head-on with confidence and optimism. Adversity is not a roadblock; it is merely a detour that ultimately leads to personal growth and success.

The journey of furthering my education studying psychology and advancing my career by playing soccer in college is one that I am excited to embark on. My goal is to combine the two areas of interest in order to find a profession that is personally fulfilling and academically beneficial.
To successfully accomplish this goal, I plan to research universities that provide the best academic, athletic, and social opportunities. To ensure I make the most of my college experience, I will explore how these universities can help me reach my potential in both psychology and soccer.
I will research different schools’ academic and athletic offerings, investigate financial aid options to offset tuition costs, or seek out mentors or advisors to help guide me along the way. I will also focus on balancing my academics with my athletics, understanding that with dedication and hard work, any obstacle can be overcome.
With the right combination of guidance, motivation, and resources, I believe I can achieve my goal of continuing my education while playing soccer in college. Having the opportunity to experience both disciplines within the same educational system would both challenge and reward me in a way that would be integral to my development. Not only will it help me achieve success in a career path, it will also have a lasting impact on my personal growth.
I am confident that with my passion for psychology and soccer, I can succeed in reaching my educational and career goals. As I continue my journey of furthering my education and advancing my career, I look forward to my successes and learning experiences along the way.

Volunteering has had a profound effect on my mindset and outlook on life. As someone who grew up in a single-parent household, I was never introduced to the concept of volunteering or giving back to the community. It wasn’t until I started high school that I became aware of the wide array of opportunities to make a difference through volunteering.
Since then, my perspective has shifted drastically. I no longer focus exclusively on myself and what I need from life; instead, I recognize the importance of working together with others to make our world a better place. It has also enabled me to better understand myself and my place in the world. I have become passionate about giving my time and energy to assist those in need, whether it be in my local community or abroad. I feel a deep sense of satisfaction knowing that I am contributing to the betterment of society, even if it is just in a small way.
This newfound appreciation for service has not only changed my mindset, but also impacted my career path. I am currently planning on studying sport’s psychology and plan to pursue a career in public service, where my passion for making a difference can be fully realized. I am confident that my experiences volunteering will serve me well in this field and provide me with the necessary skills to succeed.
Finally, seeking financial aid is critical to my academic success. I am a first-generation college student and lack the funds to cover the entire cost of a college education without assistance. Because my family’s current financial situation does not allow them to provide me with the necessary funds, I am seeking other sources of support, including scholarships. These scholarships would greatly alleviate the burden of tuition costs and enable me to focus on my future goals.
Through my experiences volunteering, my mindset and career aspirations have both shifted significantly. Volunteering is important to me because it has given me the opportunity to gain experiences that I wouldn't have been able to get anywhere else. It has opened my eyes to new perspectives, allowed me to make meaningful connections, and encouraged me to develop my skills and abilities to better meet the needs of others. Moreover, I require financial aid in order to achieve these objectives and further my education. For all of these reasons, obtaining a scholarship is of utmost importance and would be extremely beneficial to me.

Soccer has been my passion since I was a young child. From the moment I stepped onto a pitch, I knew I was destined for greatness. Soccer has allowed me to explore my athleticism and learn the fundamentals of playing in a team. Playing this beautiful game has given me confidence, discipline and strength of character.
Being involved in soccer has greatly impacted my academic experience. Through my commitment to the sport I have developed an unparalleled work ethic that has enabled me to manage time more efficiently. I have also become more disciplined in my studies, making sure to prioritize academics as well as soccer. My involvement in the sport also exposed me to different strategies and techniques on how to effectively think through problems, an important skill that has helped in my academic life.
Soccer has also helped me in terms of making friends. Training with the same group of people can lead to strong relationships built upon mutual respect and trust. Through the team dynamics I have been able to create meaningful friendships that I will always cherish. With the support of My team.
In soccer I’ve had a few injuries and set backs but one that always lingers in my hamstring strain.Persevering through a hamstring strain is a challenge for any soccer player. While it may seem impossible to keep playing with a hamstring strain, there are a few strategies that can help you overcome the pain and stay in the game.It usually happens when the muscles in your thigh are pushed too far and tear or become overstretched. I had to make a 60 yard sprint to cover for our right back and in that process as I was just about there my hamstring gave out on me. I had to stop playing and need to take steps to rehabilitate the injury. Immediately after the injury occurs, I applied ice to the area and kept the leg elevated to reduce the swelling. I started taking anti-inflammatory medication to also help here. I went to my high school trainer to seek professional medical advice to ensure that the injury is not more serious than a strain, and to get an exact prognosis on when you might be able to return to play.
Throughout whatever sport you play and along with school you will inevitably run into bumps in the road. Throughout those bumps it is best to keep you head up and keep pushing and striving to get or do better day by day.

I feel like a major issue in my community and even bigger in my country is racial discrimination. Though I have encountered it many times, one particular situation sticks out to me the most. When I was much younger around 11-12 I was with my older brother at my uncle's house playing outside down the street in the rain drainage structures. A man from the neighborhood came down the street threatening to call the police on my brother and I for what we could tell at that age for no reason. He said that “ we were being a disturbance along with us potentially there to damage property.” When he had seen nothing of the sort happening or even reasonable suspicions that we were. He then forced us to walk through the street back to our uncle's house, not allowing us to go back the way we said we would come back. That was the first situation I remember having that problem. As a kid I simply thought the man was just being a jerk but as I’ve grown older and more situations like that have occurred I feel my skin color more likely than not had something to do with that.
I feel like if people used social media effectively instead of primarily for entertainment people as a whole community could be more proactive in combating the racial disparities not only in this country but everywhere else that it is a problem world wide. They’re already forms of bringing awareness in ways like protests and rallies but sometimes it could be more subtle by doing it in social media. I personally would feel more inclined to participate in a social group spreading awareness through a website or group on a social media or chatting platform. There are seemingly endless problems but with that stream of problems there are endless solutions and ways to avoid it if communities would simply come together and put forth positive efforts into bettering the society more solutions would be found. There are many ways for individuals to come up with personal solutions to racism and discrimination in their community. Some people may start by creating public awareness campaigns to help reduce the amount of racism and discrimination in their area. Others may work to create local programs that focus on promoting diversity and creating a more inclusive environment. still others may use their own experiences as a resource to learn more about how to fight racism and discrimination in their community.
In conclusion there are way too many problems in this world. But at the same time matching all of those problems is some form of solution.
