Bio

I am a hardworking and caring person who always tries to do my best in everything I do. I like working with others and believe that teamwork makes any job better and easier. I enjoy helping people, sharing ideas, and learning from those around me. When I work on a team, I do my best to listen, communicate, and stay positive so that everyone can succeed together. I am also someone who loves to learn new things. I believe there is always something new to discover, whether it’s a new skill, a new way of doing a task, or a new challenge to take on. I don’t give up easily and I’m not afraid to try again if something doesn’t work the first time. I know that mistakes help me grow and become better. Being responsible and dependable is very important to me. When I say I will do something, I make sure it gets done the right way and on time. I take pride in my work and want people to know they can count on me. I always try to stay respectful, honest, and kind to everyone I meet. My goal is to keep learning, keep growing, and always be someone others can trust and rely on. I want to make a difference by working hard, helping others, and keeping a positive attitude no matter what. I believe that with effort and teamwork, anything can be achieved.

Jason Jimenez-Fores, I chose to enroll in the Combination Welding program at Tidewater Tech in Norfolk because I wanted to take a shot at learning how welding works and acquire new skills and techniques and gain real experience to help build my career at 18 years old since joining the program l've been gaining real experience how to do things l've never done before and preparing me for the field. The instructor has been teaching me and the other to do our best and been supportive and patient and also taught us the importance of safety is this industry and teamwork how responsible you have to be and which has made me even more dedicated to improving every day. After completing the program I plan to go work at the Newport News Shipbuilding where i can continue building my skills and gaining more knowledge and also gaining even more experience. And my long term goal is becoming certified welder and grow into leadership roles where i can help train other and share my experience what learned and also want to be able to support myself and my family while doing something i enjoy. Joining Tidewater tech has to be the best decision i’ve made and it’s a first step towards building my bright future and gaining real experience for the future field.
