Hi! I'm Jasmyne Anderson, 17, a senior at Paul VI High School, and a proud candidate for Bold.org scholarships! I come from a loving family my mom, dad, twin sister Jaylynn, and younger brother Chase. I’m biracial (Black and white) and have lived in several states: born in Maryland, then Illinois, Pennsylvania, and now New Jersey. Moving around taught me how to adapt quickly and connect with people from all backgrounds. People describe me as hardworking, ambitious, and outgoing. Sports have always been a big part of my life I've played everything from soccer to tennis, but softball has become my passion! I’ve played on both my high school team and outside leagues to continue improving! Creativity fuels me, whether through painting with watercolors, sketching, or acting. Acting, especially improv, has always been my favorite outlet! One of my favorite roles was playing the White Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland, and I recently won a mock trial in English by acting out Hamlet's insanity! Mental health is incredibly important to me, and I aspire to become a psychiatric nurse! My twin sister and I want to open a private practice to help others feel understood. I’ve already started giving back by crocheting baby hats for NICU babies, sending socks and cards to seniors citizens in nursing homes and creating educational flashcards for underfunded schools! A scholarship would ease the financial burden on my family and allow me to focus on my education and career goals. I’m excited to use my passions and determination to make a difference in the world!!!
