My name is Jasmine, and I have dedicated the past 17 years of my life to the medical field. Beyond my professional life, I am a wife and a mother of five. In April 2026, I will achieve a lifelong milestone: graduating as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Becoming a nurse has been my dream since I was 12 years old. I have a profound passion for helping others and giving back to my community. I find deep fulfillment in caring for patients whose family members may be unable to provide support—whether they are overwhelmed by their own lives or facing health challenges themselves. I step into that gap to ensure no patient feels alone. This journey is also a tribute to my grandmother, whom I lost four years ago. She dreamed of being a nurse, but she was forced to drop out of school in the eighth grade to care for her family when her mother fell ill. By completing my degree, I am fulfilling the legacy she was unable to start. While I have a wonderful support system in my husband and my mother, the financial burden of nursing school is a significant challenge. Receiving this scholarship would allow me to complete my education with ease, ensuring that I can focus on my patients and my family rather than the weight of student loan debt. After 17 years of service, I am ready to step into this new chapter as an LPN and honor my grandmother’s memory through the care I provide.
