Bio

I graduated from UNH with degrees in Journalism and International Affairs and loads of student debt. My family's bank account is often in the negative and they cannot help me pay off my debt or pay for graduate school. Despite our financial instability, education has always been central to my family values, so when I'm not studying, I work year-round and have never wasted a single opportunity. I actively chase things that will push me out of my comfort zone. I've worked previously as a journalist and reporter, and have had two of my articles picked up by the Associated Press.I often challenged my colleagues to include more diverse voices in the news. I have enormous dreams and I know I can achieve them if only given the opportunity. Any and all scholarships will help bring those opportunities closer to where I can reach. In the last two years, I have also healed from a PTSD diagnosis, the achievement I'm most proud of to date. I am in a master's degree program for Children's Literature, Media, and Cultural Entrepreneurship at the University of Glasgow (the form below will not let me type in an international school name, so my undergrad university is a placeholder). While studying, I am writing a novel and in the process of self-publishing an ADHD cookbook for adults just trying to feed themselves (I also have ADHD). I have roughly $90k of student debt and am worried I won't be able to afford my monthly repayments after graduation.
