When I was in high school, my experiences with the mental healthcare system inspired me to fight for change in my life and in the lives of others. After researching what I could do, and what my options were, becoming a lawyer seemed like the perfect option for me. So, with all my determination, I took the most accelerated classes I could in high school, and participated in many organizations. Currently, I am a student at Mt. San Jacinto College. During my time here, I plan to play sports, join clubs, get a job, and achieve the best grades I can. My dream is to transfer from community college to UCR because my dad said that it's one of the best colleges in California, and because my mom loved her experience there as a student herself. Other aspirations I have for myself include joining the honors program, getting an internship, writing a book in my free time, and volunteering more in my local community. This summer, I plan to volunteer at the library so I can engage in my favorite hobby, which is reading.
