Bio

I am currently a graduate student at the University of Texas at Arlington pursuing my M.S. in Industrial/ Organizational Psychology. I previously graduated summa cum laude from Texas State University with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. During my time as a student, I have been a member of Latinas Unidas, a club that aims to empower Latina students. I was a part of the Texas State Women’s Wrestling Club and have been active in the sport for eight years including coaching at a local youth wrestling club. My work experience includes ABA therapy for children with Autism. This work taught me the importance of growth, adaptation, and the value of persistence through difficult situations. My current research interest involves motivation in the workplace. I/O Psychology is important to me because I believe in the value of people and the support of employees to achieve organizational success. I am a proud first-generation student. Growing up in El Paso, Texas, I carry my culture and family with pride. I am thankful for the sacrifices that have allowed me to further my education and strive for success.
