I am currently an Honors student attending Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. I am pursuing my BA in Psychology with a minor in Gender Studies with the goal of continuing to my Masters in Educational Sports Psychology. Within the University, I am a member of Latinas Unidas, a club that aims to empower Latina students. I am also a part of the Texas State Women’s Wrestling Club and have been active in the sport for five years. I have also practiced jiu jitsu and mixed martial arts for six years. I have a blue belt in jiu jitsu and have been nationally ranked in collegiate level wrestling. I am a proud first-generation student. Growing up in El Paso, Texas, I carry my culture and family with pride. I am thankful for the sacrifices that have allowed me to further my education and strive for success.
