Roxanne Hoegger Alejandre Scholarship for Pregnant or Parenting Teens
I would describe myself as a good student, who is capable of working hard for what I want and achieving my goals. The values I've learned, such as striving every day to achieve my goals, are part of my daily life. I am applying for this scholarship to receive some financial assistance for my studies and to make things a little less challenging.
My favorite subject in school is reading and writing because it is one of the subjects which I learn a little more for my baby and me. To my baby, I read them books and I also practice my English to get better at it.English has always been a challenge for me since it is not my first language. In order to get better at it, I had to dedicate a little bit of my time and practice, speaking it and reading it. Little by Little I have seen progress which I proud of.
I want to major as a medical assistance. When I first had my baby, the doctors were really kind and took good care of me and my baby which influenced to major in something related to the medical field.
My plan after high school is to continue at the city college to further my studies and pursue my career. I plan to continue studying to become a medical assistant. I think this path is right for me because I have the opportunity to advance in my career. Higher education is important to me because I believe and know that if I continue studying and earn my degree, I will have a better future for myself and my family. It helps me grow, understand my learning abilities, develop my plans, and know that I am capable of achieving them. The opportunity I hope to gain from higher education is to finish my degree. My goal is to become a medical assistant and complete my degree. It will help me realize I am capable of achieving my goals and know that I can be a great doctor.
I think that college is very expensive, and I believe that financial aid would help me because the scholarship would cover everything, and I wouldn't have to worry about not being able to continue my studies. This scholarship will help me avoid having to drop out of school due to lack of funds. It will motivate me to keep going because I know I have their support. I want people to remember that I am a very hardworking person, dedicated to my studies and my goals, and I strive to be better every day.I will manage to finish my studies and have a better career so I can continue working hard every day to achieve it. The most challenging part of my background was having to come to a country I didn't know, feeling frustrated because I did not know any English, and having to change my cultures and traditions in order to adapt to a new country. Despite this challenge, I still managed to get to the place where I am currently at, which was not easy but I am proud of my hard work and everything I have accomplished and what I will accomplish. I know that there is a brighter future ahead of me and I am looking forwards to it. My son's birthday is on 10/26/2024, he is currently 1 years old.
