Hi! My name is Janelle Resendiz, and I’m proud to be from Fort Worth, Texas! I currently attend the Texas Academy of Biomedical Sciences, a dual‑credit high school where I get to challenge myself academically while earning college credit through Tarrant County College. I’m someone who finds joy in the little things—running, reading, volunteering, and anything that helps me grow mentally and physically. If I had to describe myself using just two words, I’d choose “big‑hearted.” I love uplifting the people around me, whether that means helping a classmate master a tricky math concept or being the person a friend can lean on during tough moments. I’ll be the first in my family to attend college, and that motivates me every single day. Despite the challenges I’ve faced, I’ve never stopped pushing forward, staying focused on my goals and the future I want to build. More than anything, I’m driven by a desire to make a real, meaningful difference in people’s lives. That’s why I aspire to become a Pediatric Nurse—to be a source of comfort, strength, and kindness for children from all backgrounds, especially during some of the hardest moments of their lives. My dream is not just to succeed, but to heal, support, and inspire.
