    F.E. Foundation Scholarship
Hi my name is Janelle Gaitan, as a senior at Caprock High School located in Amarillo Texas, I am thrilled to have been accepted into Texas Tech University, where I plan to pursue a degree in Animal Science Industry with a minor in Chemistry. My passion for animals and science has driven me to set my ambitious goals, including applying to veterinary school to become an equine surgeon. This journey has been enriched by my internship experience at Mobile Veterinary Practice, also located in Amarillo Texas. This internship has provided me with invaluable hands-on knowledge and reinforced my commitment to this field. My internship is amazing everyday is a new day I get to help assist in surgeries including castrations, and perform TPR'S (temperature, pulse, and respiration) on horses helping the doctors with dental appointments, and so much more it is truly rewarding getting to see these horses feel better and confident again. Receiving this scholarship would significantly alleviate my financial burden, allowing me to fully focus on my studies and thrive in college. It also shows that you believe in my potential, and when I become successful, I will ensure to give back to the F.E. Foundation Scholarship that helped me succeed. Throughout my academic journey, I have dedicated myself to excelling in my studies and gaining practical experience with animals. This commitment has prepared me for the rigorous coursework and practical training I will encounter at Texas Tech University and beyond. My aspiration to become an equine surgeon is not just a career choice but a calling to make a positive impact on the word. By advancing veterinary medicine, I aim to improve the quality of life for horses and support the equine industry, which plays a significant role in agriculture and recreation. In the future, I envision myself working in a equine surgeon residency, where I can apply my skills and knowledge to perform surgeries, conduct research, and educate others about equine health. My goal is to contribute to advancements in veterinary science, ensuring that horses receive the best possible care. By pursing this path, I hope to make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals and the people who care for them, ultimately fostering a healthier and more compassionate world. My ambition and drive to create lasting, positive impacts in veterinary medicine and beyond. By receiving your scholarship, I will be better equipped to achieve my goals and make a significant impact on the word, improving the lives of animals.
