Bio

After high school I would like to go to college and major in sports medicine and kinesiology. After my four years of college I'm going to join the Air Force to help pay off my student debt. While I am in the Air Force I would like to remain studying in order to get a Doctorates Degree. I'm very passionate about sports and fitness, but I'm also passionate about math and science.

      Learner Math Lover Scholarship
I love math because of the problem solving. Every math equation has a different way in solving it and I enjoy solving them.
      Westport Big & Tall Scholarship
I'm James Meek standing about 6'3'' tall and around 185 pounds. I am a basketball player and my height gives me a decent size advantage towards the other players; However every now and then I can end up in a funny situation due to my height. Whether it's having to crouch through a short door way, have to bend all the way down to grab a pencil that has fallen off my desk and all sorts of cases that make me feel weird and awkward. Well my funny situation actually happened this year while my mother and I were taking my older brother to college. We were driving a tight, short Mustang for a 2 hour drive to Northeastern State University. Well since there was the three of us, and I was the youngest person in the car, I had to ride the back seat. Well once I finally got comfortable and we driven the 2 hours and finally made it to NSU I had to find a way out of the car. So long story short I had to lay down on my back while both my mother and older brother had to pull me out of the car. Being tall may have some downsides, but it's been a blessing.
Learner Scholarship for High School Seniors
I decided to pursue a college degree for multiple reasons. For one I would like to have that college experience, so I can make more memories with friends and family. I also want to go to college in order to get a degree in something sports relative, so I can help the future athletes on their journeys to reaching their goals. Another reason is college wasn't on the table for my mother or father, they didn't have the money for it nor did they have the support from family. So I want to go to college to make my parents proud.
      Dog Owner Scholarship
I currently own a Siberian Husky, German Shepard mix. She is one of the smartest dogs I've owned and very playful. She has an important role in our family, and that is to make us happy and teach my younger siblings and I how to be responsible. She also helps my family with their mental and physical health. When we need someone to hold she's always there, and when we need someone to play with or go on a walk with she's always there for us. Her role in my families life and in my life is to be like a bestfriend to each of us.
      Sports Lover Scholarship
Sports have always played a big part in my life. Ever since I was young I wanted to play professional basketball no matter how low of a chance that is. I love the game and worked as hard as I could during practices to get better, and worked even harder in games to help my team succeed. Now that I'm a senior in Highschool and after all the injuries I've had in the past I've realized I may not even be able to play College Athletics. So now I want to major in sports medicine in order to help the kids with the same dream I had achieve their goals. I want to be a coach and physical trainer and help the future athletes reach their dreams.
