My current short-term life goals are to do well in my allied health program and to eventually begin working in the field as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. I have chosen the Occupational Therapy Assistant program because I have a strong desire to help others and make a meaningful impact in my community and beyond. I'm planning on pairing my optimistic and positive attitude with the required knowledge and skills I will obtain in program in order to help people overcome their perceived and/or actual limitations. The holistic approach that Occupational Therapy utilizes greatly interests me and I hope to become a successful therapist and help many people. Some of my community involvement already allows me to be of service to others and I get a great deal of satisfaction from helping others and being of service, so I'm envisioning a fulfilling and meaningful future career for myself as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
