Throughout elementary school, I worked hard despite challenges that make me unique. I have always had to put forth extra effort to achieve success, and because of that, I have learned the value of perseverance, determination, and hard work.
I have faced challenges related to auditory processing, sensory processing, and inattentive ADHD. These differences often made it more difficult to process information, stay focused, and keep pace with my peers. While many tasks required additional time, support, and effort, these experiences taught me resilience and determination. I attended outside therapies to strengthen my skills, develop coping strategies, and learn techniques to manage these challenges effectively.
School was not always easy for me, and I often needed additional support to help me reach my goals. However, I never gave up. Instead, I continued to work hard and push myself to succeed. I am especially proud to have earned my Regents diploma, an accomplishment that represents years of dedication and persistence.
One teacher who made a tremendous difference in my life was Mr. Riviezzo, my third-grade teacher. He was a true leader who genuinely cared about his students and encouraged me to be the best version of myself. His guidance, support, and positive attitude helped me believe in my abilities. He pushed me to work hard and never give up, and he inspired me to want to succeed.
As I look toward the future, I am excited to continue my education at Farmingdale State College, where I will major in Business. I hope to use the same determination and work ethic that helped me overcome challenges throughout my school years to achieve success in college and beyond.

My experiences have taught me that obstacles do not define a person. Instead, it is the effort, resilience, and determination to keep moving forward that truly matter. I am proud of how far I have come, and I look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead.
