Many black women pursuing advanced degrees in nursing are inspired by a desire to make a difference in their communities and to address the healthcare disparities that disproportionately affect people of color. These disparities include higher rates of chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease, as well as higher rates of maternal and infant mortality. For me, as a black woman pursuing an advanced degree in nursing, my motivation would be to play a role in reducing these disparities and improving the health outcomes of people of color. I am passionate about providing high-quality care to underserved populations and addressing the social determinants of health that contribute to health disparities. One of my primary goals would be to become a leader in healthcare and to advocate for equity and social justice. I would like to work towards increasing the representation of people of color in leadership roles in healthcare organizations and promote policies that address health disparities and improve access to care. Another goal of mine would be to become a nurse educator and inspire the next generation of nurses. I believe that increasing the number of black women in nursing is essential to addressing healthcare disparities and improving the quality of care provided to people of color. By becoming a nurse educator, I can help to prepare a new generation of nurses who are culturally competent and equipped to provide high-quality care to patients from diverse backgrounds. In terms of specific areas of nursing, I would be interested in pursuing a specialization in community health nursing. Community health nursing focuses on promoting health and preventing disease in underserved populations and is an area that aligns with my goals of addressing health disparities and improving access to care. As a community health nurse, I could work in community clinics, public health departments, or community-based organizations to provide care to those who need it most. Ultimately, as a black woman pursuing an advanced degree in nursing, my goals are to make a significant impact in my community and to advocate for equity and social justice in healthcare. I believe that nursing is a powerful tool for addressing health disparities and promoting health equity, and I am excited about the opportunities that an advanced degree in nursing can provide me to make a difference in the lives of people of color. Having the potential to make a powerful and lasting impact on the healthcare system.

I empower others by constantly preaching to them that not even the sky is the limit, and that with God anything is possible. , in my opinion, is the actual embodiment of the African community in its essence. When our respected and distinct cultures are depicted. When we as a community express our togetherness and support for one another, our vision for the black community's future, our prominence and influence around the world. Every day, I remind my people of how far we've come and how far we still have to go to retake our ancestral throne in this world. I believe that we should help and promote one another in business and entrepreneurship, as well as in education and leadership, since we are stronger together, and remaining divided makes us vulnerable.
