I advocate for girls to love and admire themselves. After co-organizing three events to boost low self-esteem through art, fashion, and health, it brought smiles to the girl's faces, and I realized that giving back to our communities is essential. Our health event, teaching girls about Skincare, allowed me to use my love for Nature and Science. We educated the girls about the different properties of plants and their healing properties for the skin. In 2022, I attended two Pharmacy summer programs at the University of Georgia and Mercer University, which continued to solidify my interest in Pharmacy. I discovered that I could pair my love for Nature with Science when I learned about Pharmacognosy. Just like I felt teaching at our Spa event, my purpose lit up in me even more and made itself known. Now that I’m aware of my purpose to spread love through Pharmacy, I want to open a Pharmacy in my community, providing health information to educate and researching ways to use nature to contribute to our health while also providing the medicine my community needs.
