    Bold Generosity Matters Scholarship
"JaHahn, treat others how you want to be treated. It's good to be generous in this world." Being nice requires little effort. Complimenting someone's outfit or assisting them in a small way can make a significant difference in their day or self-esteem. To me, generosity is accepting that there is evil in the world while persevering and making people smile one day at a time. When I recall all of the people who have been kind to me in the past, it inspires me to be kind to others. Paying it forward is essential; making someone's day is a wonderful feeling. I was taught as a child to be respectful and to treat others the way I would like to be treated. I'm thankful for wonderful parents who taught me to be considerate and thoughtful. As a black woman, I am already subjected to stereotypes such as being aggressive and angry all the time, not to mention having an attitude. I need to look past the stereotypes that have been imposed on me without my consent and demonstrate to the world that I am a compassionate person. I am a generous person who wishes to share my generosity with those in need.
    Bold Technology Matters Scholarship
I am excited about the incorporation of sustainability into our technology and how we will progress in the future. Microsoft, for example, is creating a mouse out of recycled plastic from the ocean. Apple's new iPad and iPhone are made with recycled materials. Last but not least, Amazon's new Echo display, which is also made of recycled plastics, saves energy when not in use. These changes should have been implemented much sooner, but it's better late than never. By doing these things, I hope that more brands will see the benefits of going green and encourage others to do the same. I know that the next time I buy technology, I will consider how much effort the brand has put into being environmentally friendly, as the brands mentioned above have. I'm attempting to be carbon neutral, and I hope these companies will follow suit. It's a good feeling to begin the new year by being environmentally conscious. To try to be carbon neutral, I will walk to places as much as possible, such as my classes or nearby stores, I will calculate my carbon footprint so that I can reduce it, and I will drastically reduce my use of plastic. Ultimately, I will try to support only brands that are taking steps to become more sustainable. I hope I can persuade those around me to be sustainable as well. Seeing these major brands become more environmentally friendly gives me hope for the future. At this rate, we can live in a more sustainable world with environmentally conscious brands that are conscious of their carbon footprint. I also admire my generation, Gen-Z, for being so vocal about their beliefs. By speaking up and calling out these brands for not being environmentally friendly, the goal of living in a more environmentally friendly world will be furthered. To summarize, seeing these brands incorporate more sustainable methods into their products gives us hope for the future, and I'm excited to see what else they do to reduce their carbon footprint.
Bold Hope for the Future Scholarship
My generation gives me hope for a better future. We are forward-thinking, radical, and unafraid to speak our minds. We draw attention to anything suspicious or immoral. I believe that the technological age we live in has a significant impact on this. My generation has the potential to improve the world. Protests for the Black Lives Matter movement, for example, during the summer of 2020, are one way my generation has come forward and done something good. Because of these protests across the country, awareness was raised and changes were implemented. Although I was unable to participate in these protests due to COVID-19, I would have liked to. Some people believe that protesting during a pandemic is a bad idea. While I agree to some extent, you can see that there has been a shift in the right direction as a result of these protests. With social media and technology being so prevalent in my generation, we can spread awareness and information about many issues in our world, such as climate change, police brutality, free healthcare for all, and a variety of other social issues. I, like the people around me, use social media to raise awareness about various issues. This demonstrates that there are people who care about the world, and it appears to be primarily my generation. This could be because the older generation does not understand how to use technology as well as they should. The truth is that my generation does, and we are using it to change the world. While many other generations despise Generation Z or gen-z for being too connected to our phones or being disrespectful, I see it as a revolution. We, as a generation, are using the tools at our disposal to accomplish far more than previous generations. We express our opinions on issues that concern us and educate others so that they can see what is right and wrong. I'm proud to be a member of Generation Z, and I'm looking forward to making even more positive changes in the future.
    Bold Future of Education Scholarship
Obtaining an education should be regarded as a right, not a privilege. However, for students in the United States, this is frequently the case. College tuition continues to rise, making repayment more difficult. This is something I understand as a college student. That is why I believe that college should be tuition-free in order to improve education for future generations. Students are stressed before, during, and after college because of the high cost of tuition. Tuition-free college gives others a fair chance without having to worry about financial circumstances, as well as reducing the stress and worry associated with repaying student loan debt after graduation. Making college free would allow more people to pursue higher education. People are unable to attend college for a variety of reasons, the most common of which are financial constraints and socioeconomic status. Debt is already high after four years of college; if you intend to pursue a master's degree, your debt will skyrocket. Being aware of this debt while in school is likely to cause students stress. This stress may cause the student to fail to receive satisfactory grades, forcing them to repeat a year, resulting in even more loans and debt. Furthermore, one's socioeconomic situation should not be an impediment to attending college. Allowing everyone in the United States to attend college would remove the most significant barrier to students earning a degree and help balance college attendance by students from all socioeconomic backgrounds. When you think of equality, you think of something that everyone has access to. Making college more accessible to all will give everyone an equal opportunity to pursue higher education and increase school diversity rates. Tuition-free college is more beneficial than harmful. It's a step in the right direction for everyone. Students may be relieved of the stress and worry that comes with having to repay student debt after graduation if college tuition is waived. After graduating from college, these graduates must prioritize debt repayment over other activities, such as commemorating this milestone. Furthermore, when it comes to family and adulthood, graduates are too preoccupied with paying off their student loan debt to appreciate the joys of finding a partner and settling down. As a result, they postpone their wedding plans. When you're too busy paying off college loans, you don't have much time to go out and find that special someone. For some, purchasing a home represents a step toward independence or adulthood. Some people are unable to achieve this goal due to student loan debt. We can avoid these issues by making college tuition-free. It will allow students to concentrate on their studies rather than their student debt, reducing the stress and worry associated with having to pay off debt after graduation. It also promotes equity and fairness for all. This is a problem that many people can relate to, whether they are college students or have graduated but are still unemployed. By making these changes, education for the next generation will be improved.

Hunter X Hunter is my all-time favorite anime. It's a popular show with a lot of fans. This was one of my first anime, and it's still one of my favorites. Gon, the main character, embarks on a journey to become a hunter and find his father, and along the way, he encounters both friends and foes. The pacing of the series is excellent, and the characters are well-written. Gon, for example, is a well-written character. On the surface, he appears to be a simple-minded kid with a lot of raw strength, but as the show progresses, you can see not only how smart he is, but also his major character development. He's very precise in his movements and thoughts, and he won't let anything stand in his way of achieving his objectives. It has taught me that I have the ability to depart on my journey of life.
    Bold Wise Words Scholarship
"I'm having trouble determining what my goals are. I don't seem to have any motivation or reason to work, and I'm at a loss for what I need to do "I tell my mom. "Well, dreams don't work unless you do," she says. You must put forth some effort or work to discover what you want to do. You've seen what I've accomplished, haven't you? I got the house I wanted, married the person I adored and had lovely children. I had to put in some effort, and I'm glad I did. JaHahn, you can do it as well." My mother has said many wise words, but this one tops the list. My outlook on life has shifted since hearing that quote. It is a simple sentence with such a powerful message. On the surface, it appears to be self-explanatory. If you don't do anything, you can't expect your dreams to come true. But it can be challenging to do so at times, especially if you don't know what your dreams are. When I'm not sure what to do in the future, I remember this quote. I am capable of achieving the objectives I set for myself. All I must do is work for it.
    Bold Climate Changemakers Scholarship
I've been a climate and environmental advocate since I learned what Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle meant. I was always taught as a child to clean up after myself. Leaving a mess is disrespectful and demonstrates a lack of self-esteem. As a result, seeing litter or garbage on our highways or in our rivers irritates me. To advocate for climate and climate change, I recycle in my home and encourage others to do the same. I also raise awareness about environmental issues that appear throughout my social media feed. I try to volunteer for clean-ups at my school and join environmental awareness clubs. I try to avoid fast fashion stores such as SHEIN, ROMWE, Fashion Nova, and many others. SHEIN was a store where I used to shop. I immediately stopped when I learned about the unfair treatment of their workers and the negative impact on the environment. I now shop at places that are environmentally friendly or run by small businesses. I also don't buy too many clothes if I don't need them. If you asked anyone who knows me, they would tell you that I am a strong supporter of sustainability. I try to research sustainable places around me, and by 2022, I hope to be carbon neutral. I'll walk to my classes and any nearby stores more often, and I'll figure out how big my carbon footprint is so I can reduce it. My goals are to inspire those around me to be more sustainable, carbon-neutral, and environmentally friendly in general. Hearing that our planet is in danger is terrifying, so I intend to do everything in my power to help it.
Demetrius Mack Pay It Forward Memorial Scholarship
Kindness should always be given whenever it is possible in our world. Because you never know what's going on in someone else's life, I was taught to always be kind to them. When you "pay it forward," you accept someone's generosity and pass it on to someone else who might need it. I aim to be the best version of myself, which includes being a nice and well-mannered individual who returns the kindness I have received. I'm JaHahn Sullivan, and I'd want to introduce myself. I'm 18 years old and studying Clinical Laboratory Science at Augusta University. I grew up in Georgia but was born in New Jersey. If I were to define myself in one word, it would be "caring." I am the one you should turn to if you need someone to listen to your worries. I'll be honest with you while maintaining a polite demeanor. Kindness is something that comes naturally to me. My mother instilled that belief in me and my brother as we grew up. My mother is the most influential person in my life. She has proven to me that she is capable of many things by overcoming cancer and raising me. She is always there for me when I'm sad or in need of advice. Throughout my life, she has been a great source of inspiration for me. I intend to make Mom proud by applying the information and advice she gave me in college to succeed and earn a degree. My mother was diagnosed with myelofibrosis, a rare kind of bone marrow cancer when I was around the age of 7 or 8. For my family and myself, it was a really stressful period. Not only did mom have to raise me and my brother, but she also had to look after herself. We've been surviving on one income since she had to quit her work. Thankfully, she made it through by God's grace, but it's still terrifying to think about. Because of the aftermath, she has health issues, so I continue to worry about her, even though I know I shouldn't. My mother has taught me to be grateful for so many things in my life, and I want to do the same for her. In a variety of ways, I intend to give back to my community. I want to give back by applying the information that was passed down to me as a child, as well as the knowledge that I will get via studies and experience throughout my college years. I also want to make a real difference and give back. Personally, I have a hard time adapting to new situations. I prefer routines, and why interfere with something that works? But I have to admit that this style of thinking maybe highly faulty and harmful at some point. Despite the fact that I enjoy my stability, I desire to make a change. I intend to make a difference in the world, no matter how little or huge that may be. I wish to provide love and compassion to others in the hopes that they would pass it on to others. Then the next person, and so on, until everyone has received a small act of kindness. The universe revolves on good deeds. It makes us joyful while keeping us rational. That is my goal. I understand that smiling every day is difficult, but I want to live in a society where everyone has the opportunity to do so. To be content. To be treated with compassion by others. We've earned it. It's our right to do so. With the thoughts, experiences, and affection I have and shall have, I am certain that I will achieve my objective. My name is JaHahn Sullivan, and this is my story.

A teacher is someone who instructs you on what they have learned. It's a person who keeps an eye on you so you can be the finest version of yourself possible. They will coach you, praise you, and work with you to help you achieve your objective. In a nutshell, a teacher is someone who teaches others. We all had a set of instructors who were helpful and supportive, as well as some who were not. Fortunately, I had a number of excellent professors who assisted me in learning what I needed to know. My fifth-grade teacher comes to me when I think of someone who inspired me to seek higher education. She was a lovely lady. You could see she was enthusiastic about what she did and wanted to make learning and schooling enjoyable. She was already aware of me before I met her. My previous school year's instructors had informed her about me and my academic talents. She expressed her delight at the prospect of having me in her class and teaching me. She answered my questions and made the topic she was teaching more understandable by thoroughly explaining it and going over it again if necessary. I was able to sail through fifth grade and move on to middle school because of her. Teachers like her are the reason I do my hardest in class. They just wanted the best for you, both personally and intellectually, and I believe it is necessary that you reciprocate that desire to succeed. She helped me get into middle school, and now I want to use what I've learned to seek higher education and continue to grow as a person. I'm not sure whether she's still teaching, but I can't thank her enough for the great way she treated me and made me feel at ease in her classroom, all while teaching me information that might have been tough but wasn't because of the manner she taught. There were many other teachers that were similar to her, but she is one of the exceptional ones. If I had the ability to make numerous entries, I would talk about the others who treated me just as well and taught me what I needed to know in the future. I'd want to express my gratitude to her for her unwavering support and excellent instruction. I'm going to be successful, and you had a role in that.

To be passionate about something means to have strong sentiments for the topic under discussion. It's the desire to give it your best in order to attain this objective. It is to keep going, no matter what is hurled at you or what stands in your way. It's to be able to accomplish what you want with ease and to enjoy yourself while doing it. I am passionate about assisting others. I aim to improve the world by doing tiny actions that have a huge impact. Things like those pique my curiosity. I may not engage with you, but I want to tell you that having my advice might make your life a bit better. To reach my passionate objective, I must continue to improve myself as a human being while also assisting and aiding others in their moment of need. That is, without a doubt, my destiny. That is my mission on this earth. I wish to work in clinical research. as a clinical research coordinator. Clinical research coordinators (CRCs) assist in the administration of clinical trials by collecting data from study participants, monitoring clinical trial processes, maintaining research logs, and ensuring that correct research protocols are followed. They are also in charge of all study paperwork as well as guaranteeing each participant's safety and overall well-being. Sickness has the ability to take over at any time. It occurred, unfortunately, to someone very close to me: my mother. My mother was diagnosed with cancer when I was a child. It had been a traumatic experience. When someone, especially a kid, thinks of cancer, they think of death. As a kid, I was taken aback when I learned that my mother had cancer. It seemed strange to be alive. My mother could not be here one day, and I wouldn't know what to do. She was thankfully able to recuperate and remains strong to this day, thanks to God's grace. This was not necessarily a direct difficulty for me; rather, getting rid of the anxieties and doubts that came with my mother's illness was the actual struggle. I had to combat the demons in my mind that were saying horrible things in my ear that I didn't want to think about. I was able to fight it, and the ideas are becoming less frequent with each passing day. My struggle was with myself, yet it helped me grow as a person.

Living with a disease that'll affect you for the rest of your life isn't something we look forward to. In all honesty, who wants to get sick? Cancer especially? I commend my mother for overcoming obstacles that many others are unable to overcome. My mother was diagnosed with cancer when I was a child. As a family, it was really traumatic. It appeared out of nowhere, like a torrential downpour on a bright day. She was a young woman. Why her, when she eats well and does nice deeds? We couldn't figure it out for the life of us. It placed us in a bind as we tried to assist the family and look after her. But, by God's grace, she made it through, and I, along with the rest of my family, am grateful she's still with us. My mother is my influence in this life. She is living proof that I should never allow anything to hold me back. I have no idea what she went through, but I'm sure it was terrible. I'm sorry she had to go through it, but I try not to think about it too much. All that matters is that she's here with me, and I can continue to make her proud by doing the work I was born to do. My mother's story inspired me to desire to aid others. I always wanted to work in medicine, and I still do. I was unaware of the various sorts of careers available in the healthcare industry, therefore I was stumped as to what I should pursue. As I grew older, I became more aware of the many medical professions and sought out the one that piqued my interest. My ambition is to work as a clinical research coordinator. I'm looking forward to making a difference in the world. I would like to thank my mom for being strong for me and herself, and for teaching me all I know. She helped mold me into the person I am now, whether it was academically, via common sense, or through lessons she learnt as a child, and I couldn't be happier.
    Art of Giving Scholarship
In the future, I envision myself doing a variety of activities, including:  - being happy;  - earning enough money to not be in debt. - Every day, I improve upon the previous day's performance. For me, I have great expectations. Whether or whether I receive funds from scholarships, I want to do my best and achieve in a world that is hostile to me. It would change my life if I were to get this scholarship. Being born into a low-income household, the fact that I am currently attending college is a huge accomplishment in and of itself. This scholarship would be used to assist me to pay for items that I can't afford to pay for myself. I can put this scholarship money towards college instead of using my money that could be put into a Roth IRA or another retirement savings account. This scholarship would assist me in avoiding student debt, which may be a part of my future. Of course, in the future, I will not claim student debt. I'm going to be debt-free. The universe will work out a solution for me. I'm going to prosper, thrive, and make it through this life. This scholarship will allow me to set all of my plans into motion. What makes this scholarship so important to me? It will support me in displaying to the rest of the world that I am capable. To keep going despite the obstacles that attempt to drag me down. Have trust in my abilities. I am deserving of this scholarship, and I will demonstrate my worth to you.
First-Gen in Health & Medicine Scholarship
I am someone who is always required to demonstrate that I am capable of overcoming adversity. Being a first-generation college student has strengthened my resolve. My parents have always encouraged me to study and stay focused so that I may attend college and obtain a better degree. Still, it appears that this is what all parents desire for their children. But it is critical for me to attend college and earn a degree. I have to do it for those in my family who are unable to. And, of course, it is something I have to do for myself. My mother was diagnosed with cancer when I was a child. It taught me that sickness may take over anyone's life, regardless of how nice or loving they are. It's important not to let the disease triumph, and my mother made sure that didn't happen. However, this encounter has inspired me to pursue a career in medicine. I wanted to help ill individuals like my mother. As I grew older, I was able to study more about the many medical professions and identify the one that most interested me. I want to assist individuals who are unwell, like my mother, by assessing whether or not they are sick and what sickness has taken over their bodies. Now I am embarking on my path to becoming a clinical researcher. Being a black woman increases the importance of this decision. I need to succeed so that I can teach my children and future black girls that we can achieve our goals. We must defy the odds placed against us before we were even born and prove to the world that we have the ability to achieve our objectives and aspirations. I sometimes worry if all of this effort and determination will be worthwhile in the end. When I start feeling like that, I remind myself that it will be okay, whether I reach my objective or not, since, at the end of the day, I gave it my all and did the best I could. That's not anything I can be upset about! Being a first-generation healthcare student is a prestigious status that I will proudly wear. There is a lot of pressure on me right now, but I know I'll be able to handle it and succeed. My trip will undoubtedly be arduous, but I am confident that it will be worthwhile.

Many individuals are unaware of how much smartphones affect our daily life. What is the first thing you do when you wake up? Turn off your alarm, check your alerts and the time, maybe spend some time on social media? All of these activities need the use of your phone. I, too, am a part of this. When I wake up, I switch off my alarm and check the time while browsing through the alerts I received while sleeping. It has a significant influence on my day-to-day existence. Many people believe that smartphones have a detrimental impact on society, and I agree. However, I feel there are certain advantages to it. I wouldn't be able to get out of bed without my phone. I could use an alarm clock, but it doesn't have any vibrations and the sound it makes may not be enough to get me up. However, I can adjust the vibrations on my phone and select the sound I want to wake up to in the morning. Apps that keep you organized throughout the day are one of the many great things that modern technology has allowed us to develop. Because I procrastinate a lot, I prefer to pace myself when I tackle tasks to ensure that I finish them. My phone's apps help me keep track of all of the responsibilities I need to do during the day and keep me on track. My phone not only keeps me focused, but it also keeps me connected. Social media and communication apps allow me to stay in touch with family and friends all around the world while also allowing me to meet new individuals who can help me make good life changes and form lifelong connections. Despite the numerous advantages that smartphones have brought us, I am aware of their drawbacks. Driving while on the phone, for example, is quite risky. As a teenager, I am aware that my generation is extremely tech-savvy, so I make every effort to avoid being distracted while driving. The iPhone function that detects that you're driving and tells individuals who text you during that time that you're driving and will not enable you to go on your phone is a fantastic feature that qualifies as an advantage of owning a phone. It's critical that we continue to educate ourselves on the benefits and drawbacks of using smartphones in our daily lives. They can save our lives at times, but they can also put us in jeopardy.

I want to pursue a career in Clinical Laboratory Science after receiving my degree. But first and foremost, I'd like to travel and see the life that I might have missed while in college. I want to go on vacation and spend time with my family and friends. I'd like to take a moment to reflect on my accomplishments. Then I'd like to find a place to call home and gain some hands-on experience by working in a lab or office. I want to leave the state in which I am currently residing. I need to find a state that needs clinical laboratory scientists and relocate there, as well as find a place that I can live and work. For me, becoming a woman in STEM is a huge deal. Women were told to be stay-at-home moms or to only have a kid and let the man help the family when I was growing up, but I want to defy those societal norms. Pursuing a career in science would be a wonderful opportunity for me, and I can't wait to get started. My vision depicts me relaxing in my home with my significant other, discussing our lives so far and what we want to do in the future. And if the things I want to do with my life do not work out, I want to feel successful. It's definitely a smart idea to plan for the inevitable, so I'll make sure I'm ready for anything life throws at me. I'm not going to allow myself to get caught in a rut and feel depressed. I don't want to become popular or famous, but if that happens, I want other girls who want to pursue a career in research, specifically clinical laboratory science, to see me and be motivated to pursue a career in laboratory science. I want my children to be motivated by me. I need them to understand that if you work hard enough, you can be everything you want to be. In the world you build for yourself, nothing is impossible. I'm confident that I'll achieve a lot in this life. I may not know what I can achieve just yet, but I am certain that I will be successful. I'm going to be proud of myself. Particularly as a woman in the STEM field. Everything I've learned and experienced has led up to this current movement.

Sickness is something that affects all of us at some stage in our lives. We always get ill, whether it's a cough, arthritis, or the flu. I had no idea that my mother will contract the disease that we all hope to avoid: cancer. My mother was diagnosed with myelofibrosis, a rare form of blood cancer, when I was seven years old. It seemed to appear out of nowhere. We were getting along before she got it, but it put us in a financial bind after she got it. It had a negative impact on all of our mental health. I didn't know it at the time, but it made me really depressed. I was terrified of losing my mother, who had served as a role model for me. I'll never see another person who has looked after me for all these years and shown me affection like that. Fortunately, she is in recovery, and my mother continues to be a part of my life. I've learned not to take anything for granted as a result of this journey. Since life is too short, I try not to be mad for too long and just appreciate the little pleasures that life has to bring. This experience has changed me for the better. I refuse to pass judgment on anyone based on minor details because you never know what they are going through. When I have the opportunity, I express my love to everyone I care about. Where I can, I try to have a good attitude. I try to be a good person who is also hardworking. I didn't let this setback deter me, and I expect to keep moving on in life.

Intersectionality is a concept that has both benefits and drawbacks. Today, though, we'll concentrate on the drawbacks. Despite the fact that we have been fighting for fair opportunities for women for the last few years, there are still issues. Wage disparities, domestic violence, poverty, and lack of wages are just a few of the disadvantages we experience as women. There's still the fact that women still have a tougher time being promoted to management or higher ranks in the workplace. Not to mention the bigotry we encounter while applying for work. Though it can be difficult, there are ways to combat the obstacles we face as a result of systemic sexism and previous generations' perspectives. We must be mindful of the problems that exist as a result of intersectionality in the workplace in order to overcome them. Speak up when you find a problem or something that is unjust. Recognize the injustice that could be occurring at your workplace. Recognize the possibility that you, too, might be a victim of discrimination. Work hard and never give up a promotion opportunity. Tell the other women at work of the bigotry or misogyny you've noticed, and see if they've noticed it as well. The next step is to put the issues you've seen in the spotlight. After assembling the women in the office and informing them of the issues you've noticed, inform a higher-up or a boss that these issues are occurring. Hopefully, they would pay attention and do their hardest to fix the dilemma. If not, you'll have to go higher. Inform those in a higher position about any issues that could be happening at work. Continue to fight until you achieve success. Being successful on social media and accounts that campaign for women's rights is another way to resolve intersectionality's problems. Discuss any potentially unfair incidents you've had in the workplace. Follow accounts that promote visibility and encourage others to do the same. Join local communities or groups working for women's rights, especially in the workplace, and recruit others to join you. The more people who are aware of the issue, the closer we will get to eliminate the wage gap and other inequalities. Despite the fact that I am still a senior in high school, I want to use these suggestions to fight for my rights as a feminist. I don't want future generations to face the challenges that I might, so I'll do whatever I can to eliminate them. I'm sure other women share my beliefs.
    Pandemic's Box Scholarship
No one could have predicted the pandemic's arrival. It will still be remembered as something that had a significant effect on our lives. While the pandemic brought a lot of bad luck, it still brought some good. I was able to focus on myself and my future thanks to the pandemic. I was going through the motions when the pandemic struck. You could even say I was taking advantage of life. The pandemic, on the other hand, humbled me. I've learned not to take anything for granted anymore. As we went through this difficult time together, I was able to get closer to my family and friends. I was able to put self-care and self-love techniques into motion. I sat at home and did the stuff I liked to do. It has aided me in further preparing for college and I now have more time to complete further scholarships and decide on which college I want to attend. I wouldn't have my amazing career working at a preschool and enjoying the radiant faces of 4-year-olds if it weren't for the pandemic. Yeah, the pandemic was difficult for me, but I can't overlook the little blessings that still came my way.
    Mirajur Rahman Perseverance Scholarship
My name is JaHahn Sullivan, and I'd like to introduce myself. I am a Cherokee High School senior who will attend Augusta University this fall. My goal is to serve as a Clinical Research Coordinator in a laboratory or research facility. When I was 7 years old, my mother contracted cancer. At the time, I did not realize how much cancer could affect a person's life. Luckily, my mother is in remission, but the effects of cancer still affect me and my family to this day. We found ourselves in a financial bind as a result of this situation. My mother had to resign from her employment, and we now only have one source of income. I needed to find a job so that my parents wouldn't have to worry about taking care of me and whatever other debts or responsibilities they may have. The pandemic didn't help matters either, because I had to take time off work to avoid getting the COVID-19 and infecting my mother. I lost out on money-making opportunities during those months. Many things are on my to-do list for the future. For one thing, I intend to continue my studies, which I am currently doing. I want to get a job and find a place to reside after completing my bachelor's degree. I can make more money and get a decent career if I pursue higher education. Because of my upbringing and what I've seen as I've grown older, I want to have many sources of income. I want to be able to live happily without worrying about being unable to pay my bills on time. I want to be able to take vacations anytime I want and take days off without fear of losing money. This scholarship will be very beneficial to me. I want to make my parents proud by continuing my education, particularly because they were unable to do so themselves. However, college is expensive, and I would rather not be in debt. I would be able to use the grant funds to help me pay for school. Rather than putting money into savings or bank plans, such as a Roth IRA, this would benefit me. This slight movement has the potential to get the ball rolling for me. I won't know how much this will help me until it actually happens. I am confident in my ability to succeed in the future, and this scholarship is one step toward realizing that goal.
    "Your Success" Youssef Scholarship
I want to pursue my studies because I want to know more about the topics that I am interested in. I'd like to hear more about subjects that aren't really common to me. Not just that, but I still want to get new experiences when learning new knowledge. I have a better chance of getting the career I want and being qualified for it if I pursue higher education. Higher education not only allows you to learn new material, but it also allows you to gain new skills. You'll gain critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to self-discipline and prioritize. Going to get a better degree will help you earn more money and get a better job. I will not be able to live the lifestyle I want if I do not seek higher education. As a result, I will continue to pursue my studies, gain the skills I need, live the lifestyle I want, and so on. Marching band and working are two of my extracurricular activities. I was unable to participate in marching band this year due to the pandemic. But I did it for three years. I've had two careers in my life. I used to work at a fast-food place, and now I work at a preschool. Despite the fact that I do not wish to pursue a career in early childhood education, the insight I am gaining is invaluable. I used to march with the clarinet and bass clarinet in the marching band. I was able to develop patience and determination as a result of marching band, as well as the ability to work well with others and be expected to work with others. I have built stamina as a result of marching band. My preschool job has taught me how to deal with children and what makes them happy. I'm assisting them in being somebody and still developing new skills. Currently, clinical laboratory research is my passion. After all, it is for this purpose that I am seeking higher education. A clinical laboratory scientist examines a wide range of biological samples. They are in charge of conducting analytical research on samples and informing clinicians of the findings.I'd always known I wanted to work in medicine since I was a child; I just didn't know what kind of medicine I wanted to work in. Since my mother was diagnosed with cancer, I was inspired to pursue a career in which I would test tests to determine whether or not anyone had a certain illness. In the future, I want to be able to assist others. I'm confident that by seeking higher education, I'll be able to accomplish this objective.
    WCEJ Thornton Foundation Low-Income Scholarship
My best accomplishment so far has been achieving good grades and receiving all A's in my four years of high school. I struggled with some subjects when I was in middle school. I really couldn't understand what was being taught to me. As a result, I made a promise to myself that every year of high school, I will get all A's. Now that I'm a senior, I'll be graduating with all A's after four years of hard work. Getting to this point wasn't easy. There were some sleepless nights, and I sometimes skipped out on social gatherings with friends. There were days where the workload stressed me out to the point that I wanted to give up. Yet I hung in there. It was all worth it in the end. I am very pleased with myself for completing this challenge. This experience ingrained in me the ability to believe in myself. I am capable of doing everything I set my mind to. My parents instilled in me the expectation that academics is something I should take seriously, so I did. As a black woman, I had to be careful not to look foolish or unintelligent to others in order for them to form a stereotype of me. This experience has taught me how to organize my priorities. I'd want to sit up late watching TV instead of studying or scrolling through social media all night, but I had to discipline myself and tell myself no. I had to try to strike a balance between learning and doing things I love. It also taught me how to use time-saving study tips and tricks. I make sure to read the content and take breaks when necessary. I expect to accomplish the same goal in the future and get all A's, or at least mostly A's and some B's, during college. I want to smile when I look back, as I am doing now. I want to be proud of what I've achieved and how much I've progressed. Even if it seems to be a minor accomplishment, it is one of my most important. During high school, there were days when I wasn't sure if I'd make it. I expected to get at least one B somewhere. But, fortunately, that was not the case. I'm going to graduate with all A's, and I'm overjoyed. I will continue to excel and persevere in the present and future. My pursuit of excellent grades will continue.
    3Wishes Women’s Empowerment Scholarship
Women are amazing creatures. As a feminist, I still make sure to say something positive or loving for a woman I see on social media or on the street. Women should be efficiently empowered by society. More women in high-power roles, such as the government, are required. Women should not be chastised for their preferences or occupations. We must remember that the only one who has a woman's back is another woman, so we must create an atmosphere of trust and affection. We must continue to advocate for the closure of the gender pay gap. The pay disparity is much higher for women of color. Deodorant, perfume, razors, and other women's products and household objects are more costly than men's products and household items. Not to mention feminine hygiene items like pads and tampons, which should be given free of charge. We ought to speak out about issues like these. More women in STEM fields are also required. Maternity leave must be abolished. Women should be allowed to continue earning money whilst on maternity leave to care for their children. We must be vocal at all times. Raise awareness to become an advocate. Use your social media pages to reshare messages that inspire women. Encourage others to join a campaign and speak out. Join a group or a club dedicated to empowering women and reducing discrimination. Any negative energy that comes our way must be turned off. Don't let a condescending remark ruin your day, and if you see anyone maligning a woman or attempting to degrade her, defend her. Make a case for your female coworkers. Women-owned companies should be supported. Purchase from local women-owned companies. Also, tell your friends and family about the business. Fight inequalities that affect women. Make a donation to a women's shelter. Women-owned companies should be supported. Analyze businesses that have a history of mistreating women or being sexist. Last but not least, express your gratitude to the women in your life by showing and telling them. Women are still subjected to inequity in today's society, and society must raise awareness of this. Many individuals may be unaware of the injustice we face and, as a result, may do little to address it. Today, we have several options for successfully empowering women. I will continue to empower women in the ways that I see fit, and I will encourage others to do the same. We're all people at the end of the day, and we all deserve to be appreciated and cherished.
    A Sani Life Scholarship
For me, 2020 has been an eventful year. I not only missed the end of my junior year, but I also missed the entirety of my senior year. I missed out on a lot of things and couldn't see my friends for a long time. I had to even take a leave of absence from work. Despite the fact that 2020 was full of horrific events, it still taught me something. Life is full of surprises. You must be ready for all that can come your way. Yes, I suffered through quarantine, but I was able to spend time with my family and engage in good mental health activities. I'll never forget the terror of not knowing whether my family or I will be infected with COVID-19. I recall being able to play Animal Crossing at home. I recall the struggle for black people's rights, and as a black individual, it gave me hope. Because of what happened that year, I've learned to anticipate the unexpected. I learned that you should reach out to the people you care for most often because they could be going through a difficult time. 2020 caused me a lot of challenges, but I'll never forget the wonderful moments it gave me.
Ethel Hayes Destigmatization of Mental Health Scholarship
Over the last few years, mental health has been openly important and apparent. It hit a lot of us hard, notably during quarantine, including myself. As a black person, I didn't feel like mental health was discussed much in my community. And as black women, we are seen as confident and self-sufficient, as if we have it all figured out. Maintaining that persona can be exhausting at times. I don't always seem to be in control. I struggle and get irritated. I'm concerned about my own future and the well-being of everyone I care about. I get anxious and don't know how to express my feelings. It's important, in my opinion, that we get rid of the prejudice and move forward. While mental health has its drawbacks, it has also given me new perspectives. Being mindful of my mental health has taught me that I am a human being. Someone out there is struggling as well. There's no better time to talk about mental health than in May, which is Mental Health Awareness Month. My intention is to be the strongest version of myself, with mental health in mind. Allowing myself to suffer and weep is important, but I still want to ensure that I get back on my feet. I am well aware that I am not the only one who has mental health issues from time to time. Others do as well, and it is this that distinguishes us as human beings. It helps me feel more connected to the rest of the world. We are all unique individuals who can sympathize and empathize with one another.

There's no better time to talk about mental health than in May, which is Mental Health Awareness Month. Quarantine began at the end of my junior year. I'll be graduating at the end of this year. Thinking about it has had a major impact on my mental health. So many moments, chances, life lessons, and memories have passed me by. I've been cooped up at home, preparing to get ready for my senior year in high school and now college. I've made it, thankfully, but at what cost? I'm sure there are those who feel the same way I do. This is why it's important to raise mental health awareness. While my profession is unrelated to mental health, I expect that as a result of this epidemic, more therapists and psychologists will be available in the future. As I previously said, I was not the only one who suffered through the pandemic. My friends and family members have suffered as well. I made it a point to check up with them, and I continue to do so because I am concerned about their mental health. Many people have lost family members, contracted the illness, suffered financially, and so forth. I promise myself that I will look after myself. My mental health is important to me. It is a part of who I am. To maintain my well-being, I will continue to engage in good mental health activities. It's now or never for me as a potential college student. I make it a point to practice self-love and self-care. I look out to my family and friends and express my gratitude to them. Laughter is the best medicine, so I watch stuff that makes me laugh and smile. I promise to take care of myself so that I can be my best at all times. My own mental health challenges over the last year have made me aware of a number of topics. It's okay to not be okay, for sure. I don't have to be perfect all of the time. I have the right to stress and cry. What I have to do now is get back up and be the best version of myself. I'd like to express my gratitude to my mental health for always holding my back and reminding me that I am, after all, a human being. Don't be afraid to talk about your mental health because it will always be there for you.
    Undiscovered Brilliance Scholarship for African-Americans
My name is JaHahn Sullivan, and I'd like to introduce myself. I am a Cherokee High School senior who will attend Augusta University this fall. My goal is to serve as a Clinical Research Coordinator in a laboratory or research facility. As someone who has high expectations for herself, I always dream big. To myself, I want to be successful. I want to be able to look back on my life and be proud of the accomplishments that have taken me to where I am now. I've always known that I wanted to support people since I was a child. I just couldn't make up my mind. When my mother was diagnosed with cancer, it influenced my decision. My mother was diagnosed with Myelofibrosis, a rare form of blood cancer when I was eight years old. I didn't know it at the time, but it had a significant impact on me. My mother had to stay in a center away from me and my family for a while so that we didn't worsen her illness. Thankfully, she is still alive and continues to be my biggest inspiration. She showed me that having faith and dreaming big will get you far, so I'm going to show her and the rest of the world. My parents instilled in me the importance of getting good grades. They ingrained in me at a young age the importance of doing well and excelling at everything I do or try. I'm at a disadvantage as a black woman in a world where people want to see you lose. I have to prove to the world that I am capable of being everything they believe I am incapable of being. One thing I like to emphasize as I go through life is that the things you say will have a personal impact on others. I always say nice things about myself and others to brighten my day and the day of others. I use effective approaches to help me grow as an individual. Do you know what the GIFTS method is? The letter G stands for growth. It may be personal growth, such as learning a new skill. The letter I stands for inspiration. It could be people, places, or objects that have inspired you. F stands for friends and families. This is a bunch of individuals who add value to your life. The letter T stands for tranquility. This one is my personal favorite. This refers to the brief, in-between instances, such as sipping coffee or reading a good book. Last but not least, there's the letter S, which stands for surprise. This is for a pleasant or unexpected favor. Practicing this every day or at least twice a week has improved my life and continues to improve my life. Share this method for those you care for and put it into motion on your own. It really makes me feel special and loved. Speaking of love, another thing I do to improve myself is to practice self-love. This method is beneficial to my mental and emotional well-being. Taking a soothing bath or reading a book are examples of this. It also entails applying lipstick and having your hair done. Watching your tv show and eating your favorite meal. It also involves enjoying a much-needed nap. I expect to be successful in life. It doesn't matter whether it's done gradually or on a daily basis. I will flourish in my own way, even if nobody else believes or recognizes it. I'll make certain of that, for this is my story, and I'll tell it as I like.
Sander Jennings Spread the Love Scholarship
Self-love is something that has never been easy for me. Being a female person of color and living in a predominantly white city, I was forced to look around and compare beauty to what I saw. This of course doesn't mean that the people around me weren't beautiful, but we're different. The beauty standards are different. There wasn't anyone that looked like me. My mother would always tell me that I am such a beautiful little girl, with a pretty and heartwarming smile, but I used to be very self-conscious of my smile. I was also very self-conscious of my weight. And when I got to the age where I could use social media, unfortunately, it made things worse. Everyone else had prettier smiles than me, and their hair would fall straight down, and their light-colored eyes would shine so brightly in the sunlight. It was hard for me to appreciate my beauty: my curls, curves, and brown eyes. Even today, I still struggle with it. But as contradictory as it sounds, social media today is also helping me realize how beautiful I really am. People are speaking out against their insecurities and coming to terms with them, and I am trying to do that too. They're trying to break the beauty standards that were created for one group of people and making it for everyone. My diverse friend group is helping me love myself as well. If we all looked the same, the world would be a boring place. It's important to realize that we are all made differently and beautifully, and I remind myself of that every day.
Gabriella Carter Music and Me Scholarship
Music is something I believe to be underrated. It holds the power to make one cry, laugh, feel angry, and more. The gift music gives is extraordinary. Because I am very open with my music tastes, it's hard for me to choose just one song, but one song that is special to me is Feel Special by TWICE. When I first heard this song, it filled me with a warmth I didn't know existed. Certain days this song makes me cry, because I genuinely feel like I am special, and on other days I'm jumping up and down, jamming out to it because the song puts me in a good mood. Although I cannot understand the Korean language, when I look at the translation, I realize that the lyrics are so powerful. Especially when you've been a fan for a while and you've seen the hardships and struggles they have been through. The song makes you realize they're human too, and they also want to Feel Special. This song has a powerful aura, and I wish everyone around the world could hear this song so they know how special they really are. I encourage all to listen, and see how your life will change. It has the ability to make you smile on a day where you don't feel like smiling, and it has the ability to make you cry when you realize you've been holding those tears back for so long. It is what some might consider a comfort song.
John J. DiPietro COME OUT STRONG Scholarship
A role model in my life is my mother. She has and continues to teach me everything I need to know to become a wonderful and courageous person. When I was 7 years old, my mother contracted cancer. At the time, I didn't realize how much cancer could affect a person's life. Luckily, my mother is in remission. Even though my mother got cancer, she didn't let it take over her life. She is still the strong woman she was before cancer, and I admire her for that. She has shown me that you can overcome any obstacle you put your mind to, and I will continue to do that in this life. The lessons she has taught me have helped me to achieve personal growth, and I do not doubt that it'll help me achieve my future goals as well. I will pay what I have learned from her by making her proud. I will show her what she's educated me and more. I will become the successful black woman she has pushed for me to be. I will also spread the knowledge and lessons she has informed me and the ones I learn throughout my life and teach it to friends and family, and my future children so they can strive to be great and courageous as well.
    Future Black Leaders Scholarship
The extracurricular activities I have involved myself in is marching band and working. Due to COVID-19, I wasn't able to do marching band for the 20-21 school year. When I was 7 years old, my mother contracted cancer. Because of this, it put my family in a financial bind. My mother lost her job and my dad had to work harder to support our family. Luckily, my mother is in remission, but the effects of cancer still affect us to this day. This scholarship would be a blessing to me. I would like to make my parents proud and attend college, but the cost is very high. I knew affording college wouldn't be an easy task, therefore I'm also working hard to get money to be able to assist my parents in helping pay for me to go to college. After graduation, I plan to get my bachelor's degree. I am striving to be happy and content in life while spreading the knowledge I come across to others.
Darryl Davis "Follow Your Heart" Scholarship
My name is JaHahn Sullivan. My goals are quite simple in this life. I wish to be happy and successful. The terms "happy" and "successful" are very vague, but that is how I feel. If anything in this world, I want to be content with what I'm doing and enjoy every passing day. I would also like to be successful; I want my family members and friends to see me and think "she is so successful and I'm so proud of her." To achieve these vague ambitions of mine, I have started to look at the brighter side of life and enjoy the positive things that flow towards me. The thing that excites me most about the world we live in is the fact that there's so much for us to learn. The unfortunate thing about it is that I won't be able to learn everything, and that's okay. I hope that the knowledge I obtain from the education and experiences I go through will allow me to share what I learn with others so they can also expand their knowledge about this world.
    JuJu Foundation Scholarship
The greatest inspiration in my life is my mother. She has taught me and continues to teach me what I need to live in this world. She drives me to be the best version of myself. When I was 7 years old, my mother contracted cancer. Luckily, she is in remission, but because of this obstacle that was put in front of us, I strive to do well so I can make myself and my mother proud. I want to live a life with no regrets. I am very thankful to God for blessing me with such an amazing mother and for saving her.
Bubba Wallace Live to Be Different Scholarship
Cancer is something that can happen to anyone. I was forced to learn that the hard way. When I was 7 years old, my mother contracted Myelofibrosis, a rare type of blood cancer. Being the age that I was, I didn't realize the severity of someone in your life getting cancer. It put my family in a financial bind, and it took a toll on our mental health. Because of this situation, I have anxiety. Luckily, she is in remission, but it still affects us to this day. This experience has taught me to value my life. We shouldn't take living for granted, as every day is not promised. I have also started to look at the positive side of life. I show my love to whoever I can and reach out to my friends and close ones if something isn't right. With this experience, I'm hoping that I can encourage others to live a bright and positive life, and when they feel down to remember that they don't have to stay down. Life is too short to be sad all of the time. so personally, when I am sad, I remember the things I tell others: "It's okay to not be okay, but it's not okay to stay that way." In the future, I will look back at the experience that I was forced to go through and look at how I grew from it. I will see how strong I became because of it and smile. It was hard, but I made it. I will keep making it in this world, and strive to be the best me that I can be.
    Harold Reighn Moxie Scholarship
My name is JaHahn Sullivan. I'd like to say my life is blessed, but I have encountered adversities myself. When I was 7 years old, my mother contracted cancer. At the time, I didn't realize how much it would affect me and my family. It put us in a financial bind, and it also had a toll on our mental health. Cancer isn't an uncommon thing, but I never thought it would happen to someone in my family. Luckily, she is in remission, but it changed us. We've learned to appreciate living more than ever. Every day isn't promised and life is unpredictable. I want to look at the positive elements of life. The things my family and I have been through will help me to realize to become a more positive and happy person. In the future, I hope to achieve pure bliss and live with no regrets. Our time is short on this Earth, so I want to live life to the fullest and educate and share my knowledge and happiness with others. I want to make new friends and meet people that will stay in my life forever. The life lessons I have learned, am learning, and will learn will stick with me for the rest of my life.
Brynn Elliott "Tell Me I’m Pretty" Scholarship
A woman in my life that I admire with all of my heart is my mother. She is my shining light. She has and will always be there for me. From a young age, she has emphasized how important it is to love myself for who I am. Some days it becomes hard for me to do that, with the unrealistic body standards social media portrays to us, but I just remember what my mom has told me, and I feel more confident in myself. Beauty comes in different shapes and forms. There's no need to compare your beauty to another person's beauty because, at the end of the day, you're both beautiful. I will take the life lessons my mother has taught me and allow myself to become confident with myself and exude it wherever I go. I will tell myself I am successful and let others see it too.
    "What Moves You" Scholarship
"Dreams don't work unless you do." This quote has resonated with me since middle school. Sometimes, I start to lose faith in myself. I see others achieving their dreams or accomplishing their goals and it makes me feel behind. But then I remember the quote. My dreams aren't going to come true on their own; I have to put motion into them. I have to get up every day and set expectations for myself. It is a challenge at times, but I remember that everything I do is for future me. I can't slack off because I don't want to disappoint myself. I am confident in what I do and what I will accomplish.

    Justricia Scholarship for Education
Education has played a vital role in my life. Growing up, my mother stressed how important it was for me to do well in school and to become a scholar. She said, "I raised scholars, and that's exactly what you'll be." When I was younger, I didn't make it into the advanced class. It made me feel like I was less than the kids around me who did make it into the advanced class. Because of that, it made me want to do more for myself. When I was in middle school, I wasn't put into certain high school courses in 8th grade. Because of that, it caused me to push even harder while I'm in high school, and my grades prove it. The fact that we, as human beings, have the power and ability to learn is so wonderful to me, and as technology advances, I can learn so many things at the tips of my fingertips. Education is such an immense privilege, and I'm glad that I'm able to pursue it. Whenever I struggle with something, I take a deep breath. I recognize that what I'm trying to learn or accomplish is hard and that the fact that I'm actively trying to learn whatever it is is an achievement in itself. Education plays the role of my backbone in my life, as there's a lot of things I would've missed out on or never experienced if I didn't have an education. My goal is to be a scholar because that's what I was raised to be.
Nikhil Desai Reflect and Learn COVID-19 Scholarship
Because of COVID-19, I had to take a break from my job. Doing that resulted in me losing at least thousands of dollars that could've gone to college funds or a car in the future. The reason I had to take a break from my job is that my mother is immunocompromised. I must do my best to make sure I stay safe so I don't bring in any germs like COVID-19, so I took off. Unfortunately, even though cases are still at large, I had to go back to work. While in quarantine, I learned a few things. I learned how to fish in Animal Crossing New Horizons, I learned to realize that I shouldn't stress over things I cannot control, and I learned that people aren't always what you think they are. COVID-19, being the atrocity that it is, opened my eyes to myself and the people around me. During quarantine, I've learned to love myself and take care of myself. I had all this time to learn new things about myself, so I did. I also became more of an activist. I see the injustices going on in the world, my country, my state, my community. I've also learned how important masks are and try to enlighten others about it too. Because of COVID-19, I've realized who the anti-maskers are. I realized who the ones who are selfish and don't care about others' lives. It's sad, but it was for the better. As we continue to go on, I hope that I can learn more things about myself and continue to educate others on important matters.
