Hi! my name is Jaena Fahrnlaender. My dream school is to go to UAB and study dental medicine. I want to have my own offices by the time I'm 30 and achieve the dream of helping others who dont have the same blessing as I do. I believe I can change the world one step at a time and I know I will do so! I think the world can only get better and I feel as if any person can change the world. To me the most important thing is to help anyone who needs it. I think we all deserve an opportunity to dream and to achieve those dreams. You are never too young to start dreaming or too old to start achieving. Being bold in my opinion means being the best and absolute out going person you can be to yourself and even others which is why I joined this website.

Hiii! My name is Jaena Fahrnlaender and I am currently 16 years old. I am a sophomore in high school but I am so eager to become an orthodontist. I would love to go to UAB to go into pre-dental and get my bachelors. I would love to open my own offices one day and take in new grads and help them get to their dream as well. I would love to go into teeth because I know how much pain my family has been in because of their teeth. We currently have no doctors in our family which makes me even more ready to become one. I am inspired to become the first African American female dentist in our family to make my family and myself proud.

A personal failure to me was not being able to hold up to my grandfathers expectations of me by making the grades he knows I could have made. This was a personal failure of mine because I know that he only wanted the very best for me in my life so that I could become very successful without struggling to get there. This failure became even harder on me when he had passed away and I wasn't able to show him ever again that I could do it. To overcome this I had to put more time into the work that needed to be done and also kept a certain place for him in my mind and in my soul to know that he is proud of me and he knows that I did do it. I learned from this by knowing that not everything in life has an expiration date and that things can be accomplished even if those goals were not set by you. I think that now I am a better learner and I realized also the importance of goals and that those goals are there to help you and those around you. I know that he is very proud of me and that he also hopes that I can achieve even more in the future. Even more from this lesson, I learned that failures are only there so you can try even better next time and that it is very important to always never give up and to try even harder.
