Bio

Art and animation have been my greatest passions since I was a little kid. Back then, I wasn’t very good at it, but I fell in love with bringing my drawings to life. In the future, I aspire to work on films and games and inspire kids like I once was.

I’ve always loved to draw. I think part of that came from having artistic family members to look up to. My older sister got into it before I did, and as a little kid I remember peeking up over her desk to watch her draw on the family computer. Watching her work amazed me. She always seemed to know what she was doing. Her art was leagues better than mine, of course; she’d been alive longer and therefore had more time to practice. But I always kind of liked to copy my older sister, so I asked her to help me draw on the computer like she did. Frankly, my drawing was terrible. I was using a mouse so the lines were all jagged, I had no concept of anatomy, and the colors were randomly picked from a color wheel I didn’t understand. But it was mine. I had made it. And I loved it. Digital art had become my biggest passion. I moved around a lot as a kid, so having something to do that didn’t depend on my location or friends was comforting. Art was my source of self confidence, of Identity. It’s my constant– I know that no matter what happens or where I’ll go, I’ll always have this part of me. And when a passion is that intertwined with your person, it feels hard to imagine yourself doing anything else. So I decided that I wouldn’t. I’m attending Savannah College of Art and Design in the fall. I plan to major in Visual Effects with a minor in Character Animation, and I’m so excited to further pursue my love for art. My hope is that one day my work will inspire a little artist the same way I was as a kid.
