Marcia Bick Scholarship
I am applying for this Scholarship because I am truly inspired by the opportunities that will come from applying. Being considered for this scholarship would give me the chance to stay involved in positive activities that help me become a stronger student and a more successful adult. I want to take advantage of every opportunity that will push me toward a brighter future, and this scholarship represents support from a community that believes in young people like me.
I come from a background where achieving my goals has always required determination, resourcefulness, and resilience. Because of this, receiving scholarships means far more than financial assistance. Scholarships allow me to focus on my education without the constant weight of financial stress. For someone who didn’t come from much, these opportunities are not just support, they’re a foundation for building a future that I’ve long hoped for and worked toward.
I want to attend college because it feels like a fresh start. It would be a chance to step into the real world while working toward the life I see for myself. College to me is more than just school; it’s a doorway to independence, new experiences, and personal growth. It is also a chance to make my family proud, especially the loved ones I have lost who always encouraged me to follow my dreams. Their support motivates me every day, and earning a college degree would be a way to honor everything they poured into me.
My goal is to earn a degree in forensic science so I can build a career helping people who have been wrongfully accused. Too many individuals face injustice because of mistakes or lack of proper investigation, and I want to be someone who brings truth to light. I want to use science to help give people their lives back and to make the system more fair for everyone. This is not just a career interest for me, it's a passion that I’m determined to pursue.
Receiving this scholarship would make a major difference in my journey. Since I hope to attend an out-of-state college, the cost of tuition is a heavy burden for my family. This scholarship would help ease that pressure and allow me to focus on my education rather than financial stress. It would help me move one step closer to my goals while also giving my parents peace of mind. With this support, I would be able to put more energy into my studies, community service, and preparing for the career I’ve been working toward.
Overall, this scholarship represents more than financial assistance,it represents an opportunity to grow, serve, and become the person I know I can be. I am grateful for the chance to apply, and I hope to continue giving back to my community as I work toward my future.
Thank you so much!
