I have been cheering for 2 years in high school and I use it as a way of showing membership and cooperation. Out of school I have been in a neighborhood swim team for 4 years since I was younger, I’d love keeping myself healthy and active as a side hobby from art. The college I will be attending is Texas State University and I will be majoring in Digital arts. I am interested in joining that university because Texas State has been shaping careers and giving opportunities since 1899 while offering a superb art program. During high school, I have been on the cheerleading team for two years, this inspired me to become a leader. Whenever someone feels nervous or doesn’t have the confidence to show out, I give them an inspirational talk that they could do whatever they put their mind to. As for me being the only boy on the team I have all confidence to influence others that they could do it too. My mom didn’t agree about me doing cheer but I feel if I cheerlead for the school it could set a positive impact on me as a person today. Growing up in a world of diversity inspired me to draw designs of different styles, I gathered inspiration from my favorite horror movies as well as shows to make different characters from what I’ve seen. The world has a lot of inspiration once you explore the complexity of each piece of art you see out there. You could also gather inspiration from stores, the mall specifically seeing different fashion pieces as well as items that would fit in with your work could also be an influence. Sometimes when you’re drawing, you could look at references from nature, social media, models and other things the world has in store. Whenever you run out of ideas of what to create it’s always best to find a way to explore the world surrounding you. The everyday life that shaped me into the artist I am today has taught me newer ways and techniques of designing a new piece of art work. For the pieces I have shown, I got ahold to some inspiring movies and original mythical stories that involves monsters. For my vampire piece, I wanted to go for something romantic and gothic to match in with the vampiric style. As for my werewolf art piece, I decided to look into more wolf like fashion choices that involves fur and other related accessories. And for my Frankenstein monster, I decided to play around with different shades of green for the patches of skin as well as his clothes combining different colors and patches of other pieces to create one whole style. For me, art isn’t just looking at references, it can also be about your imaginative creative way of thinking as well.
