I want to make a difference in the world, even if it's a small one. I have grown up watching how different things such as drugs, alcohol, mental illnesses and financial struggles can influence and affect a person!
I hope and strive that one day, I can be able to help other people with different personal struggles the same way I was helped.

Bold Success Scholarship
This scholarship would mean so much to me!
I am Hispanic and a first generational student. I have been doing classes online, and I only have 8 classes left until I can get my associate's degree in science! I am so excited but my family makes such little money, I am afraid that I might not be able to pay for it and finish my degree.
I want to go into Music as well as Psychology. Music has blessed my life in more ways than I can explain and has taught me discipline as well as a new and deeper understanding of love.
I have always loved to help people, and going into psychology will give me that ability. I struggled with anxiety for a long time and my mom helped me so much and helped me learn to control, and soon, overcome it. It was hard but she helped me so much and now I feel more secure and confident!
I want the same for others and want to help other people the way I have been helped.
Kenyada Me'Chon Thomas Legacy Scholarship
I have many strong opinions on social stands and issues. Though my opinions are strong, I believe that respect given is respect earned. If given the opportunity to address a social issue or a controversial topic very prominent in our day, the first thing that I would state is the visionary of respect. Everyone has a different opinion, and everyone believes differently than others. They may live their lives as they choose and how they wish, however, in our country we are given the gift of freedom of speech. We have the right to express how we feel! Respectfully.
I would bring this social issue up, if presented, by stating the issue and announcing first the facts, making everyone aware of the issue and what has been happening worldwide with such. Rather than promoting my opinion, I would state it but discuss the importance of respect and lowering discrimination that happens towards issues that occur.
