My name is Jada Serna and my favorite aspect of the game is that I can live a life that has no boundaries or limits to what I can create. I like how if I want to play in Creative Mode and build a giant mansion that is absolutely too big for one player I can do that, or I can switch to survival mode and fight for my life against the monsters of the dark, or try and see how long I could survive on random carrots that I find in the grass. Since I am an animal lover and could never own a pet parrot of my own, I like how there is a variety of animals that I can tame and own, sometimes my connection to my dog is too much and I truly do cry when he gets killed or is stuck sitting because I hadn't played in awhile, it just shows how much this game truly plays a role on how the players expresses their emotions. Another reason why I can relate to the game so much is because I love the sunrises and the sunsets. I live in New Mexico which has beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and every time I am playing Minecraft, I always feel like I am at home and I take a moment to sit and watch the sunset while I sip on a honey bottle. I am very grateful for being able to play this game and be a part of the beautiful landscapes, crazy animals, and being able to fight to the death with my friends in this wonderful game!

My name is Jada Serna. I am a junior going to Capitan High school. Going to Capitan High School has really taught me the importance of being engaged not just in learning but also Athletics, NHS, or just the small community. Every Sunday, I go to Church and see such a strong community and so many people helping others. Wether you look forward to whenever you visit with old friends or see a family member or if you're just like me, you look forward to whenever you can see your fellow neighbors at Church on Sunday. I have played sports my whole life and I have seen the impact of myself on others. This has shown me a great deal on how impressions are important. Every year starts off with my Volleyball season and every single time I step out on the court I am determined to better my teammates. In any sport, every player out on that court should be thinking of ways to encourage each other and ways to pick each other up and never push each other down. One thing that I think has helped me make a positive impact on others is that every day I wake up and make a promise that, "Today I will spend so much time improving myself that I have no time to criticize others." Having this mindset helps not only with school but also with Athletics and life in general. This year especially, me and my team have faced adversity in both Volleyball and Basketball by having six girls out with injury's and four out on the court playing through injuries. Before this year I let others lead, but after several being out and others graduating, I realized that this year I must lead by example and have a positive impact on my teammates and I am pleased to say that I have done just that. Being a flutist in my high school band has also helped with my social skills. Every year me and my fellow band-mates fundraise the band by selling parking spots during the Old Lincoln Days. Because the band is often overseen, we must fundraise for ourselves, but nevertheless, it has a great impact on us. Having good grades has pushed me to aim higher and be apart of something greater than myself, this is why I wanted to be apart of NHS. Being in NHS has helped me with my social skills and built my character every time we do something with the community. But NHS can only go so far and I wanted to do something great in my school and help others which is why I took the oath of being apart of Rachels Challenge. Rachels Challenge is an organization brought by Darrell Scott who lost his daughter in the Columbine shooting of 1999 and aims to reduce violence and bring a brighter message in schools. Last year, people from Rachels Challenge came to my school and asked who wanted to be apart of Rachels Challenge and I took the oath. Along with this oath came clubs that branched off of Rachels Challenge and I have the honor of being part of the Welcoming Committee which aims to welcome the new students coming to Capitan High School with a basket and a tour of the campus! Being apart of these organizations has encouraged me too better myself and I have learned so much from everyone I have met and played with along the way. From these experiences, I have learned to be positive towards others because sometimes all we need is a friend.

Ever since I got my Barbie Dream House when I was five years old for Christmas one year, I have always had the Dream of owning my own spectacular house someday!! Of course, In a perfect world, I would not have to worry about working and just spending my day with my friends or family down at the beach. But in reality, I would be making enough money to do whatever I wanted to do! My Dream House would be located at the Beach! I have always thought that the Saud Beach in the Philipines to be so beautiful and that is exactly where I would put my Dream House! My house would be right on the edge of the water so when I would walk out onto my balcony it would look like I'm standing right on the ocean! Even though my Dream House is on the beach I still want it to be a mansion with so many rooms! Each room would of course serve a different purpose! I would have rooms for clothes, a huge living room, a huge bedroom with a huge bathroom and in my backyard I would have the biggest swimming pool! In my Barbie Dreamworld, I would have a job but would spend most of my days swimming in the ocean or having fun parties in my huge backyard. Since my Dream House is on the beach and would be a party house I would want it to stand out and that's why the color of the house would be Hot Pink with a Bubblegum Pink trim. The windows would be Neon Pink stained glass. I'm not the type for dark colors so my house would be the most colorful house on the whole beach! Ever since I was a kid I have always loved cars and this is something that will greatly affect how my Dream House would look because I would have the biggest garage with tons of cars in it. My garage would be filled with so many fancy cars each with its own crazy Barbie pink color! I would have a Dark Pink Mclaren Senna, a Pastel Pink Lamborghini Huracan, and a Neon Pink Porsche 911 GT3RS, and if I wanted to go offroading with my friends I would take my Flamingo Pink Ford Bronco Raptor! My garage would be two stories just to hold all these fancy cars! My Barbie Dream House would truly be spectacular and if I wanted to live somewhere else or have an even more crazy house it would be possible because in Barbie Land you truly can be anything!
