Bio

Playing college football is more than just a game to me. It's a passion. The feeling of stepping onto the field, the roar of the crowd, the camaraderie with my teammates—it's electric. And every time I make a play, I know I'm not just doing it for myself, but for my family too. But football is just one part of the equation. My ultimate goal is to provide a healthy, successful lifestyle for my wife and son. I want them to have the opportunities I never had, to reach for their dreams and achieve them. That's why I push myself every day, both on the field and off. Sure, there are challenges along the way. Late-night study sessions, grueling workouts, the pressure of performing on game day—it can be tough. But when I look into the eyes of my wife and son, I know it's all worth it. They're my rock, my motivation to keep pushing forward, even when the odds seem stacked against us. As a family, we're reaching for our dreams together. And by working hard, staying focused, and never giving up, I know we'll get there. So, every time I step onto that field, I do it with a fire in my heart and a determination to succeed, not just for myself, but for my family too.

From the earliest moments of my existence, the presence of God has been woven into the very fabric of my life. It was my mother, a devout follower of Jesus Christ, who nurtured this connection, shaping my understanding of faith and guiding me along the path of the Gospel. As I reminisce on my childhood, I am filled with gratitude for the steadfast love and unwavering dedication with which my mother raised me in the embrace of Christ's teachings. Every Sunday, without fail, we gathered as a family to worship in the hallowed halls of our church. These weekly rituals were not just routine, but sacred moments where we found solace, strength, and communion with our Creator. Through my mother's example, I learned the power of prayer — how it could bridge the gap between the earthly and the divine, bringing comfort in times of distress and gratitude in moments of joy. Our family's journey was not without its challenges. Life presented us with its fair share of hardships and trials. Yet, through it all, my mother remained steadfast in her faith, an unwavering beacon of hope and resilience. Her unwavering trust in God's plan, even in the darkest of times, left an indelible mark on my heart. It was through her actions, not just her words, that I learned the true essence of faith — a faith that perseveres in adversity, a faith that finds strength in surrender. As I step into the threshold of my college career and pursue my athletic ambitions, I carry with me the lessons imparted by my mother. Though the road ahead may be fraught with challenges and uncertainties, I am anchored by the knowledge that God walks beside me, just as He did with my mother. Like her, I will lean on prayer, seek solace in the fellowship of believers, and let faith be my guiding light. In the whirlwind of college life, amidst the pressures of academics and athletics, I will strive to emulate my mother's unwavering trust in God's providence. For I know that it is not the accolades or achievements that define success, but the extent to which I live out my faith and impact the lives of those around me. As I embark on this new chapter of my life, I do so with a heart filled with gratitude and a spirit fortified by the love of God, instilled in me by a faithful mother.

Every morning, as I lace up my cleats and strap on my helmet, I feel a surge of determination coursing through me. This isn't just about playing football in college; it's about pursuing my dreams and setting an example for my family. Ever since I was a kid, education has been a priority. I've always believed in the power of knowledge, and that's why I'm continuing my education even as I play college football. It's not easy balancing academics with athletics, but I know it's worth it. My wife and son are my biggest motivators. I want to show them that with hard work and dedication, anything is possible with God. Playing college football is more than just a game to me. My life has not been easy growing up in a single family home with a parent that sacrificed so much and gave us such a great example of hard work ethic and the importance of education and always guiding us in making good decisions as we grow up and becoming advocates for our own future, and to never get involved in the mess that drugs bring because that plagued my father and made our lives heartbreaking seeing him struggle and as he suffered, we suffered because we loved him so much. I want to break generational curses and I thank God he gave me a strong loving and amazing Christ like mother to guide me she is a teacher and was the first generation graduate I know I married young and had a son but that isn't stopping me that's motivating me to become more. I received a preferred walk on to Southern Utah University which means I need to work my butt off to show them I deserve a seat at that table, but with that opportunity I need to get there and provide housing and food for not just myself but my family. I hope you can see my motivation and resiliency and grant me the opportunity to be a recipient of this honorable scholarship.
