My name is Jacob Smith, and I am a Junior at Obra D. Tompkins, I have stem as my endorsement, but I took a mix of math and business classes. I look forward to majoring in physics or astronautical engineering when I am in college. I plan to become a materials magnetic scientists, somewhere in the that industry. When thinking about my future, I always saw myself in the NBA or NFL doing amazing things, but then I thought about family and love, how would I get to enjoy that, so I choose a career I would enjoy and get time to spend with family. My Mother works at a school as an AP coordinator, and my father works at a college as a program instructor. My uncle Olu inspired me in ways I could have never imagined. He got me to love accounting, finance, marketing, and everything about the business. He made me want to be a better student in all of my classes, and He helped me see the value of education. My parents are unfortunately not able to contribute much toward my college expenses. With the help of this scholarship, I could afford to my degree and become an materials magnetic scientist.
