WinnerFrom the moment I first stepped onto a baseball field, I learned that success is never handed to you. This success comes from hard work and a willingness to learn. These lessons have not only helped me while playing baseball but have also helped me grow outside of sports when learning about my future career. In the future, I want to go into a business field. I want to go into some form of sales. I will use the skills and connections I have gotten from baseball to help me grow in this career path. The skills I have learned include good communication and the ability to work as part of a team. However, it is my goal to continue to play baseball as long as possible.
Baseball has always meant a lot to me. I have met some of my closest friends and coaches through this game. This has made it one of my favorite things to do. Going out on a weekend and being able to compete with another team is something that I never want to lose. Another thing baseball has taught me is how to handle pressure, which will help me in my future workplace when it comes to working on deadlines and on important projects with team members. This will be important because being able to work in pressure situations with a team is something that happens in many different workplaces and job types. Another way baseball has shaped me is through my understanding of preparation. In baseball, preparation is one of the most important things. It is almost impossible for someone not to prepare for a game and still succeed. This need for preparation has instilled a habit of preparing for things outside of sports.
Overall, baseball has meant a lot to me. It is something that brings me joy, along with a place where I can feel completely myself. This sport has always meant more to me than just a game. It is a passion and something that has built me up into a better person. Whether that is from the coaches who have set examples for me or the positive impacts different teammates have shown me, it has positively impacted my life. While baseball will not always be around forever, I can carry the key principles and things I have learned along the way into the rest of my education, job, and future.
