I am a compassionate, hard working man who loves to work with those around him and dreams of being able to provide construction services to families and give them their place to raise a family. I love sports and competitiveness, it plays a large part into how I hold myself and how hard I work. I believe everything I have has been given to me by my Lord and Savior above, and how I live my life is determined by my faith in Jesus Christ.

I have been in the construction industry for 2 years now, and I have fallen in love with it. I originally planned on becoming an engineer of some sort but after my first semester of college I didn't feel called to that, and I began searching for something else. That's when I found that my community college offered a four year Construction Management BAS and I immediately could tell this was my calling. I had never thought of construction as my career goal before but once the thought was in my mind I couldn't let go of it. I applied for the program and was accepted during Christmas break of my freshman year and began taking some of the courses for the program in the fall semester of 2023. Since I decided to enter the program halfway through my freshman year I will not be able to complete the program by spring of 2026 which is when I planned to graduate, but now my expected graduation date is spring 2026.
Since deciding to begin the journey into the construction world, I have gotten married, moved out on my own with my wife, and gotten three different jobs in the industry. My first job was an internship as an assistant project manager for a home remodeler in January of 2023, it was just me and one other guy who owned the company. This was an excellent learning phase for me, my boss was very gracious and explained everything he could to me since this was my first experience in the construction world. During the summer of 2023 I went on a mission trip to Zambia with the organization Every Orphans Hope and this was when we mutually decided to end my internship and I began exploring other learning opportunities in the field. I ended up getting a job as a geotechnical testing technician with Terradyne Engineering in the Dallas branch. This job gave me exposure to the commercial side and residential side of the industry and ultimately led me to deciding on residential as the place I wanted to be.
I worked with Terradyne for 9 months before having to switch jobs to complete a cooperative class for my college program over the summer in which we had to have a job related to construction management. This is when I began working with Perry Homes and truly found the place I wanted to work for the future. I was an intern over the summer of 2024 and was lucky enough to be the only intern brought on after the internship program ended as a construction assistant. I do a lot of punch work and help with any little items I can while being taught how to build homes. I am obsessed with the systems and routines you can develop with your trades and with your coworkers and over time become so good at knowing what to do next that the process flows seamlessly. I will be enrolled into their construction manager trainee program in January of 2025 and will be a Phase II Construction Manager come April of 2025 if all goes well. I am truly blessed to have been given this opportunity to showcase my knowledge and work ethic.
Being in the construction industry for two years now has shown me a lot of dark sides, and a lot of things I want to avoid when I am in control of a project. I want to be able to provide a great place for a family to live while being honest with them through the entire process.
