Bio

My life goals revolve around becoming a registered travel nurse and serving people in need, which is my deepest passion. I aspire to make a meaningful impact through healthcare, especially in underserved communities, combining my love for travel with my desire to care for others. Being a first-generation college student, I understand the challenges that come with growing up in a low-income environment, and these experiences fuel my determination to succeed. I'm most passionate about helping others, and nursing is the perfect path for me to fulfill that. The ability to provide comfort, care, and support during someone's most vulnerable moments is something that resonates deeply with me. My Cherokee heritage also plays a significant role in my identity, and I’m inspired by the legacy of leaders like Wilma Mankiller, whose dedication to her people reminds me of the importance of service and community. I believe I’m a great candidate for nursing because of my resilience, hard work, and commitment to making a difference. Through my involvement in programs like Youth Guidance and my experience working at Pierpont Manufacturing, I've developed a strong work ethic and learned the value of perseverance. Additionally, being a yearbook photographer has taught me attention to detail and the ability to see people and situations in a compassionate and thoughtful way. These qualities will serve me well as I pursue my nursing career.

Success, for me, is achieving my dream of becoming a registered travel nurse and using my skills to help people in underserved communities. It’s about making a real difference in people’s lives through healthcare, providing care to those who need it most, and doing so with compassion and empathy. Growing up in a low-income environment as a first-generation college student, I’ve always had a strong desire to improve my life and the lives of those around me. Success, in my eyes, is breaking through the barriers that have held back my family and using my achievements to inspire others who may be facing similar challenges. To me, success is also about financial independence and security. Having the ability to support myself and my loved ones, while doing what I’m passionate about, is crucial. I don’t want to just earn a living; I want to thrive in a career that gives me purpose and fulfillment. Nursing is the perfect field for me because it combines my passion for helping others with a stable and meaningful career path. Traveling as a nurse allows me to not only broaden my horizons but also to give back to different communities across the country. It’s an ideal blend of my desire to explore the world and my commitment to providing care for those in need. However, achieving success also means overcoming significant financial obstacles. As someone who grew up in a low-income household, paying for college is a challenge. The opportunity provided by Bold.org is incredibly valuable because it directly addresses this financial barrier. With scholarship support, I’ll be able to focus on my studies and clinical experiences without the overwhelming burden of debt. Instead of worrying about how I’m going to pay for tuition or textbooks, I can fully commit to learning and gaining the knowledge and skills I need to become an excellent nurse. Financial support from this opportunity would also allow me to take advantage of every educational experience possible. Nursing is a demanding field, and to succeed, I need to be able to immerse myself in both the classroom and clinical settings. This scholarship would give me the flexibility to focus on my training, so I can develop the competence, compassion, and confidence that great nurses possess. It’s not just about earning a degree; it’s about becoming the best healthcare professional I can be for my future patients. Beyond financial support, this opportunity represents validation for the hard work and dedication I’ve put into my education and my goals. It would serve as a reminder that my dreams are achievable, and that there are people and organizations out there willing to invest in my future. The encouragement and sense of community that comes from being awarded a scholarship would strengthen my resolve to keep pushing forward, no matter what obstacles arise. In summary, this opportunity will allow me to achieve success by helping me overcome financial challenges, enabling me to focus fully on my nursing education. It will give me the tools and support I need to make a difference in the world, one patient at a time.
