👋 Hey there! I'm Italy Perez, originally from Matamoros, Mexico! I’m a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant, Certified EKG Technician, and BLS certified, passionate about advancing in the medical field and making a real impact in underserved communities. I’ve been honored with the National Hispanic Recognition, Hispanic SF Scholar, and VAMOS Scholar awards, and I was also celebrated as Student of the Week on Channel 5 News 🌟. Growing up in Matamoros, a community with limited resources, and witnessing the challenges faced by many, I’m driven to pursue my dream of becoming a Retina Specialist. My future goal is to travel the world on medical mission trips and make a positive change, both locally and globally 🌍💉. I’m excited to inspire others and contribute to social change—because I believe that helping those around us starts with making a difference where we’re from 🤝✨.
