Hi! My name is Isis Esparza Valdez and I am a new graduate student at the University of the Incarnate Word. I will be pursuing my M.A.A in Industrial Organizational Psychology. I am interested in pursuing a Ph.D. after completing my graduate program. I am actively looking for these programs in graduate schools; Forensic Psychology and Industrial-Organizational Psychology and Psychological Sciences. As I work on my M.A.A., I would like to begin a research study that I have had an interest in and hopefully carry on for more years to come. This research will be about the stressful environments in the workforce and the correlation between vape consumption. This research will be about the stressful environments in the workforce and the correlation of vape consumption. With this research, I want to be able to create a more inviting work environment for every desired field. As a WOC, the environment in a work setting for myself and others like me must be a place where it influences you to grow your mindset, and skills to go beyond what society expects of us. I used loans all throughout my undergrad and I have never applied for scholarships until now. I was always discouraged by the thought that I would never be able to win a scholarship because others had better chances. I realized in my last year of undergrad that I deserve to give myself a chance just as much as anyone, even if there is a possibility of not winning anything. Most of my time is well spent at my job, the gym, or hiking, and finding new horror movies that hopefully will give me a scare!
