Growing up, I have always been curious about how things work, especially in the areas of math and science. I have always enjoyed problem-solving and using logic to find solutions to complex problems. As I progressed through high school, I realized that my interest in these areas could lead to a fulfilling career in STEM. One of my biggest inspirations is Mae Jemison, the first black woman to travel to space. Her accomplishments and determination have motivated me to pursue my dreams and strive for success. Like her, I want to use my knowledge and skills to make a positive impact on the world through STEM. My passion for STEM has led me to participate in various activities both in and out of school. I have taken advanced courses in math and science, and I have also participated in extracurricular activities such as coding and robotics clubs. These activities have helped me develop a strong foundation in STEM and have given me the confidence to pursue a career in this field. I plan to study computer science in college and specialize in cybersecurity. Cybersecurity is an area that is becoming increasingly important in our digital world, and I believe that it is crucial to protect people's information and privacy. I hope to work for a company that prioritizes cybersecurity and to use my skills to help protect individuals and businesses from cyber threats. In addition to my career goals, I want to give back to my community. As a black individual, I am aware of the lack of representation in STEM fields. I want to be a role model for young people, especially those from underrepresented communities, and to encourage them to pursue careers in STEM. I plan to mentor young people and share my knowledge and experience with them. I also want to use my skills to help solve some of the world's most pressing problems. For example, climate change is a significant issue that affects us all. As a STEM professional, I want to use my knowledge to help find solutions to mitigate the effects of climate change. I hope to work for a company that is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and to develop innovative technologies that promote sustainability.
