My name is Isabelle Wolchek. I am from Huntsville, Utah. I will be attending Yale University as a freshman and am planning on majoring in molecular biophysics and biochemistry. I hope to immerse myself in undergraduate research and study abroad. I am very passionate about pursuing a career in STEM, specifically in a biomedical or pharmaceutical field.  Last summer, I interned at the University of Utah and studied obesity-induced osteoarthritis using micro-computed tomography. I am currently a SheTech media intern with TechBuzz, where I interview female STEM awardees from tech industries and publish articles on STEM outreach. Outside of academics, I am an Eagle Scout, have earned my Girl Scout Gold Award, and served as a global youth delegate to the United Nations. During my free time, I enjoy hanging out with friends, listening to Taylor Swift, and swimming competitively.
