      I am interested in pursuing a degree in STEM because I want to be able to make a difference in thousands of peoples lives. I am pursuing a degree in biomedical research by the time I finish graduate school. I have been greatly impacted through family members sicknesses with cancer and other incurable diseases. I want to be the person that changes lives so those impacted like me do not have to worry about the unknowns of diseases. My STEM career would set me up perfectly in order to pursue this dream.
